Magnusson was also 6 weeks out last I checked. Harrop proper said to have kits on the shelf but all stage 1. For stage 2 there was a non-specified wait.

No need to buy stage 2 from Harrop. Just order a 80mm pulley and some DW650's. All Harrops really need a custom tune regardless

Harrop stage 2 is only a smaller pulley choice and injectors, no tune included. Get a stage 1 kit, pick out a pulley, source your own injectors, get a tune. Up and running in a weekend.

If yours is an FFV I wouldn’t bother, but if the time ever came I believe the Ti/walbro 267 (450lph) is a drop in for the FFV basket. Otherwise, the deatschwerks 300C 340LPh has been plenty adequate for most it seems.

It is a flex fuel. Reason I’m asking is I may be bumping up against the limits of my stocker (still testing). I remember reading somewhere about tricking the second pump on a flex fuel to turn on or maybe I’m thinking of a different pla

I've been a huge Sy/Ty fan forever! That's actually one of my best bud's BaT wins that he's working on telling his wife about...next week I'll have a true gem of a Sy in the shop...Busch Racing block (4.5l v6), forged crank, 88mm turbo and boasting 1237whp on e85...she's coming in from NY and I'm holding it for another old college buddy while he makes his way down from AK to trailer it back...

I'm anxious to see how the VB upgrade does and feels, myself!

Every boosted FFV owner should probably read this thread. https://www.tundras.com/threads/5-7-supercharged-e85-fuel-system-diy-project.101526/#post-2605294

Supposedly the FFV pump is 375LPH, so it should be adequate. The DW 340LPH has been fine even on ~600whp supercharged builds.

My truck is FFV , stock maggy and 7.1 psi. I am using the stock FFV pump, but I did bypass the F/PUMP VSV RELAY. I basically jumped pins 5 and 3 to keep the fuel pump on HIGH at all times. The stock FPR is also boost referenced. They only have 1 pump.

Also make sure you always check the ethanol content. I swear every time I tune a new FFV truck the ethanol is all sorts of fucked and always becomes a recurring problem. Just started tuning a dude a couple days ago, ethanol at 89% out the gate, and on low pressure mode thing is leaning out by like 4psi and can't hold 12:1

Just to chime in on the tarrif stuff. In my job, we import server/networking equipment. It isn't the tarrifs holding things up. It's the new regulations and confusion at Customs and Border Protections needing more paperwork verifications on Country Of Origin Certificates. On every part in a shipment. And then you have to pay holding fees for the amount of time it sits in their storage before they'll release it.

Ugh. I remember being on vacation in Disney last year obsessing over fuel pumps and injectors for Stage 1, including if the FFV pump and green injectors were the answer. Happy with where I ended up, but I forget how much reading and learning this thread has caused.

@centex you might also want to find and favorite the "conversion from FFV" thread (or whatever it's actually called) if you haven't seen it. It's a good read along with the how to recover/replace a bricked ECU.

Hopefully you'll never need the latter, but it's good background to the have before it is needed.

That's the great thing about your new engine, you can just assume literally everything is undersized now and needs to be replaced :D

"New engine" is universally past, present, and future tense :D

    "The new engine is crazy"

That could be a year old engine, this instant, or what has yet to be completed :D

Yes it was at 85% before I started. Last I checked a couple weeks ago it was 25% so I reset it. Mine hasn’t had issues running lean until I got into the 6psi range. Been solid in the mid 11’s. This week the weather started bumping 90’s and what we found was in the morning I’d have an extra .5psi or so and I’d be in the mid 12’s but in the afternoon I’d lose that .5psi and AFR’s would be back in mid 11’s. Jesse rescaled the MAF this afternoon as I was maxing it out. Need to try another run and see what happens and then flip this pump to high mode permanently.

True. I think it’s also needs a fuel pump. My luck would be the injectors would get backorder for a year though.

Just saying that no matter what I’m looking for, it’s always backordered or build/ship date gets pushed. Doesn’t matter what company - whipple, Magnuson, Bilstein, Toyota, whatever - my stuff ALWAYS gets delayed. Heck, Alcon took an extra three months to get my brakes to me because of a bracket. It’s like the check out line at the store: it doesn’t matter if there’s one person or ten people in line, my line is gonna be the slowest… :(
