    Question for the Magnuson owners......
    After reading most of War and Peace....er..I mean this thread.
    It seems that some of you have had issues with the Magnuson which kind of surprised me.
    Had the TRD blower in my 98 Tacoma which of course was made by Magnuson which is why I went with Magnuson this time around.
    I never had a single issue with it.
    Was the TRD version watered down to avoid issues?

    Man, think of the money I could have saved! I’m pretty sure that thing would blow away at my house, it gets windy AF around these parts.

    What issues are you referring to that you've read about? Maybe the people who made those comments can elaborate.

    Well Hell....I guess I should have cataloged them.
    I figured the ones that have had trouble would know who I was referring to.

    The only issues any of the Magnusons have seen that I can remember is the pulley coupler sometimes wears out. Otherwise it's probably the least issue prone of any of the three options, which are already extremely rare to have issues at this point.

    It wont make me change my mind either way.
    Bugs can be worked out and can be expected in some cases.
    Besides I already paid half up front for the Magnuson now it's just a waiting game.
    If it performs anything like the TRD Blower I'll definitely be happy with it.

    The only "issue" that seems common with the 2650 is the plug they put in the boost port being hard to remove.

    <knocking on wood>

    The only critical problem I've had is the Harrop wiring harness took a shit.

    Harrop replaced it fast.

    no other issues.

    ~100k miles on the Harrop.

    I just ordered/received another coupler from zzperformance for the 1900. Not bad 2nd one in 10 years. Replaced the last one in 2015.

    Zero issues in my Magnuson Kit, my issue was induced by me.
    The Lame tunes seem to be the issue, but there's so much info on this site and quite a few very knowledgeable people to help tune it to last, I know I'm not worried at all.
    I've seen plenty of Tundra engines blow up over the years, usually the lame to tune or owner issues (wrong fuel).
    The original TRD tune was running them very lean, but they came out with an update to supposedly fix that. My friends 2008 blew up even after we updated the tune.
    The "U" chip in my 2002 SC 4.7 always threw lean codes, so I just stuck with the TRD ecu it came with.
    The "BD" tune seemed to be an issue in the beginning, not sure now- we don't do SC installs anymore.

    I can only speak for the HP tuner I have and how good the truck runs (SNIV TUNED).

    Only issues ive heard are with the 1900 and the coupler going out and thats usually asfter a lot of miles and usage. Havent heard or seen any bad out of the 2650 yet other than the boost port plug which I had a damn issue with lol

    Installed @snivilous 95mm TB and ran it around the airport a few times. Stock airload was decently responsive. Loaded my GM 95mm airload table and shifts were really good and TB worked as it should. Researching a few areas to resolve but pretty wild for the Sniv's Speed Shop 95mm throttle body with stock Toyota internals. Brought it up to 6450rpm and 13.3psi. Mostly did a few pulls up to 4800rpm, 11.9psi.

    As soon as I get some things squared away I'll be hopeful for a dyno run this summer. I did a 1/4 dragy run but freaked out when my front wheels were spinning and let off.
    @reywcms and @armyoffoo are running GM 103mm TB's and I'm on a GM 95mm.

    Boosted launch or just flat foot it from a stop? Once I get this last log with meth and an extra psi I want to really see what this thing can do from a dig.

    Curious to hear how yours reacts. I've had better times with brake boosted launches at ~2k RPM (1.0 1.5psi) but the G forces are higher without the brake boosting. Times are within 1/2 a second of each other.

    Flat foot from launch. 1/4 was 12.86 with 0-60 4.45 (4.25 corrected 1ft). I let off for a split second. Pre 5.29's! I'll get another as I gotta do some testing on the new SSS 95mm tb.

    I have it set to 6300rpm max. When I hit 3rd it sometimes creeps a bit if it's ramping up fast.
