@whodatschrome, per your info, I popped the bedliner out today and backed the 6 bed bolts out as prep for bed removal of re-paint.
Heres before/after pics of liner removal. [from previous 18 yrs in someones Modesto, Ca driveway].

VERY VERY nice! Those bolts should come out lickety split. I’d definitely use a 1/2” impact wrench to zip them out. If you use a wench or breaker bar, i could see the torx head easily deforming and stripping out (just saying from prior experiences).

U are f'n A-right about an impact tool!
I stepped up thru tools after pbblaster bath from top & bottom.
    1. old Dewalt cordless 18v impact [bolts laffed at it], then
    2. an IngersollRand 3/8 drive air-rachet [no go], then
    3. a couple square hits w/framing hammer followed by 1/2" drive IngersollRand impact. It took all that 1/2"drive had; theoretically 600-1200 ft lbs of torque. Never even considered wrenching them tho.
I guess using anti-seize isnt a manufacturer convention.

I took the blower motor out again and hosed the cage in degreaser to sit overnight.

It's amazing just how much filth was on this thing.

I figured it was a T5? The lights for P,N,D,R, etc all have those small black caps on them that require either a small Phillips or flat head, when I removed the bulb from that piece after taking the whole thing out of the cluster gauge itself, the small metal pins broke off too

Imagine what your PO's lungs look like.

I'm so glad I quit smoking with my [now-wife] 25 years ago. Best decision I ever made. And cutting back heavily on the beer has been another great choice.

Sadly, if you'd told me any of this in my teens or early 20s, that I'd feel so much better, and/or I should quit either, I'd have laughed at you. Same issue we have with our kids, teen and tween, trying to tell them, "You'll regret XYZ!", sometimes you just gotta go there, do that, and FAFO the hard way.

Actually, I've tapered back on the beer about 2 years into me finally setting up an account on the forum. I only really scaled back around the time I had a small health scare, c. 2023. And I can't believe it, every time I drink beer now, I sleep like shit. I had two beers last night because a friend gave me a 6pk as a "Thanks!" for helping him with a new water heater install. Slept like shit, all night. Now I'm left with 4 beers and no desire to drink them.

I distinctly remember maybe ribbing @FirstGenVol at one point when he was going on about how it's poison or something. He's not wrong. I still have a cocktail if we go out to dinner. But drinking for the sake of drinking, man ... I love the taste of fresh hops in my carbonated beverage, but it's not worth it a lot of the time.

15 months without alcohol now. Wife and I both. I don't even get cravings now but I agree with you about beer. I love a good hazy IPA. I've been drinking some things called Hoplark. You should give them a shot.

I can give it a shot.

I've tried a few, including Lagunitas' "Hop Water" which they apparently call "Hoppy Refresher" now. https://lagunitas.com/beer/hoppy-refresher/

It's just not quite the same as a good, solid hazy. It's almost like it's missing lactose or something, a good hazy has that distinctive mouthfeel, and the hop waters tend to be a little sharper.

Looks like she’s shitting a floor jack. Them 35s look good tho! How’s the clearance on the front when steering? I’m guessing the rear just needs some catch up after your latest front end work.

Need to bring it to an exhaust shop to get some tips welded on it so I don’t cook the rear shock. New mid pipe (mine didn’t have the resonator and was welded) and TRD muffler section. Still debating on using the TRD tips or just letting them go to someone who would want them.

I’m still getting some drone, but chalking that to the deeper and more refined tone and the fact that it’s just echoing under the bed. Very pleased!

I feel like I get a lot of resonance and bounce back with the exhaust dumped after the axle, I’d like to get some removable pipes/tips to dump at the bumper

My last setup was a flowmaster 50 series with dual dumps over the axle. Loved the sound, minimal drone, but also minimal volume. Pretty mild setup. Usually dumps less to drone in the cab. My current setup is a 3” Magnaflow straight flow through with a behind the tire side exit passenger side. Waaaaay too loud sometimes. Other time? I just smile. I won’t have it long term I think, cause it’s just louder than I want when towing.

I'm with you all too, probably been a couple years now or more for me. "No regerts" either. Wasn't a partier or abused alcohol to begin with, but i used to love a good old fashioned, whiskey/bourbon in general occasionally. Buffalo trace or blantons to be exact. Also ipas. Don't miss it though or even have a crave for any of it. Feel a ton healthier without it too. I'm actually a fan of ginger beer now if i ever want anything bubbly or remotely similar to a cold beer.

    Exactly!

Interesting side note b/c I was just talking to her about this while grabbing her at the airport... but the industry my wife works, there's a spectrum of staff, Gen X in a lot of VP+ roles, Gen Y mostly in middle-manager roles, and some of the managers and most of the worker bees are Gen Z.

There are regular get-togethers, after-hours. Not just holiday parties, but misc team-building/culture-building events, company-sponsored celebrations when new business comes in, that kinda stuff. They really work at it. Two things about that:
    1. At the events you can see the generational divide. Like, the generations actually tend to clump together, and if you see an older person hanging out with a clearly younger group of people, the older person is from Gen X 95% of the time or more; nobody else steps out of their generation other than those on generational cusps.
    2. Gen Z does not drink. If you see 1 in 10 from Gen Z drinking, it's a shock. And if they're drinking, it's something like ... seltzers, or mocktails.
Which brings me to my point: Someone should really work on brewing NA beer that actually tastes half worth a shit. I can get NA beer that tastes like, say, Heineken or Stella or Amstel or something, you know, the generally "tastes like beer, but it's definitely nothing special" type. But I've yet to find anything out of a lower-ABV session IPA (3.5-4.5%) that actually tastes like a good beer. If they did, not only would they get my business, but I honestly think they'd make a killing with the Gen Z crowd who don't drink because they have zero interest in getting plastered, or even being intoxicated.

What have I done to my Tundra today?
    Nothing yet, but its early.
Warning: Waay off topic. Old guy rant ahead.
Respect to all that demonstrate self-control of dietary/living habits; I still enjoy beer & hard liqours, but yes, Im in the 2-drink/beer uni now. Yep, w/and after dinner 2nd drink, and Im snoring by 730p... I skip days at a time here and there.
Plus, I guess my Tequila, Pacifico, Modelo and Corona supply will dwindle now that its gonna cost an extra 20-25%.
Then there's sweets, but lets not get carried away here today...

    BTW, craft beer opinion:
Not meant to trash them, but ever since the 'craft beer' industry launched, Ive continually asked myself [and others] , when did I suddenly have a taste epiphany and decided that my beer should have an orange hint flavor, wheat overtone, peppermint [idk], etc, etc.? I know, its a generational thing and also good for 'entrepenuers', etc.
AWhile back, doc told me the 'crafts' are ok for the young, but waay more carbs than old dudes [50+?] should be pounding. They also cost more than the standards.
BTW, Its just beer! Squeeze a lime on it and use it as a backup to a shot of tequilla [oops, forgot 25% increase]. Oh Well, thats how i get it done anyway.

    I'm a gen Z. Can confirm this.

Around me, in Wisconsin, most people my age drink, which is probably due to Wisconsin drinking culture. Up here, it's a lot more prevalent than 1 in 10. That said, more and more people that I know are drinking less and less. Most people my age (20) have been drinking since early high school, and by this point some of us are realizing that it's not that cool. I think it's mostly just a responsibility thing. Not that Gen Y or X wasn't responsible at our age, but we're getting to the age when we can seriously ask ourselves "why?" or "What am I benefiting from this?". For many of the people around me, who are in internships, challenging classes, and work jobs to afford school, that answer is very little.

I didn't start drinking until recently, and most of the time I really just want a refreshing drink to go with dinner or for when hanging out with friends. I've actually mentioned on here that I don't, but I learned that I like the way beer tastes more than most pop. It just simply doesn't sound that fun to intentionally intoxicate myself. And it's still a privilege-type thing to me. Not that it's expensive, but with the possibility of a trans rebuild on the horizon, I haven't been buying any.
