They have done about 60. I have worked hard to have a good relationship with my service advisor and he put the best tech at the dealership on it. He can usually do the swap in in about six hours. The dealership also has a couple little tricks they’ve learned to make everything go smoother. For example, Toyota‘s work plan dictates to use chains off of the cherry picker to lift the engine, but they found that it puts a lot of stress on the hooks so they made a bar to lift the hooks straight up. Small thing, but made me glad to see that they are experienced

Beatsonic and I could not be happier. The phone has a consistent charge now and it adds the additional functionality of charging two phones. I have a Google Pixel 6 with a case, BTW.

Love the black trim piece too. Ordered a sequoia trim piece cause that is the only one I could find in black.

Finally adjusted the air suspension. I only had about an inch at the bump stops and the ride wasn’t terrible but speed humps were bad. I also thought the truck looked a little squat how it was - I like my trucks to have a bit of rake. The back end came up just shy of an inch, the adjusters aren’t quite maxed out, and the bump stops are right around the upper end of spec at 1 3/4” passenger and 1 7/8” driver. Ride quality is better across the board and speed humps are night and day better. I’m thrilled and when I get 34s and new wheels I think it’ll be looking good.

What is the max supposed to be on the bump stops? I thought it was something ridiculously low that was impossible not to hit them on small bumps.

Spec is 35-45mm. With the upper end at 1.77” it was enough to make it stop bottoming out.

Thanks. It's the optional Toyota 3" lift. No rub at all. I could easily do 34.5"s before getting close to the mudflap

The trim took about 5 minutes to switch out, via YouTube. Super easy.

I was not aware of this but am now very interested... the TRD sway bar design allows for larger/wider tires to eliminate rubbing?
I have 35x12.5x20s and get a lil bit of rub on the sway bar, same 20" TRD wheels and don't really want to add spacers

    edit:
Also, it looks like you removed the sway bar drop brackets as well? is something different with the TRD sway bar that you removed them or just decided not to use?

That's correct. The curve and geometry of the TRD sway bar allows for bigger tires. The first place bigger tires seem to rub is on the sway bar and once clearanced, the rear mudflap seems to be the next spot. My dealer told me not to go over 32.5's with the factory sway bar. With the TRD sway bar he knows you can go at least 34 in but not sure how much larger after that before you need to remove the mud flap and pin the wheel well liner back. I have a lot of room in my wheel well right now with these 33.5s. Two advantages of the TRD sway bar is being able to use normal skid plates again because it dosen't require drop brackets and fitting larger tires. And it's red, lol

Is this black trim piece an overlay or just a Seqouia part? Sorry if I missed the link.

Interested in this sway bar so I can install a skid plate on my truck with factory 3” lift (also like the red).
Besides the sway bar did you also need the links and shorter bolts?

Now is this with the stock suspension height, or leveled/lifted?

I've got 285/75 18s on (essentially a 35" tire), but only 11" wide. I've not had any rubbing.

thanks for the reply, super helpful.
fwiw the 35x12.5x20 BFG KO2 don't rub the wheel wells (mud flaps removed) on the 20" TRD Wheels, but there is that small amount of contact with the sway bar at full lock. (I think 35x11.5x20 wouldn't have rubbed at all)

awesome additional benefit of not needing the drop brackets with the TRD sway bar! like you mentioned use of normal skid plates, and also should then allow for installing OEM Toyota recovery hooks in combo with the 3" TRD lift

The dealer installed the sway bar. It previously had the drop brackets when it was the stock sway bar. I can only assume the drop brackets are what's required to fix the geometry of the stock sway bar with the TRD 3" lift. And so, I again assume the drop brackets are not required for the TRD sway bar to match the geometry of the TRD 3" lift. Which allows the TRD skid plate to fit as intended. As if the TRD sway bar, TRD 3" lift, and TRD skid plate were designed in one way or another to work together. Where that leaves the suspension system on the TRD Pro in terms of design priority and end state, I don't know.

On the other hand, my dealership could have just installed the wrong sway bar brackets and my assumptions are all wrong, lol. I make no claims on being some sort of expert.
