I have a 2006 Tundra double cab. It has disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. It also has ABS. My problem is I can't seem to find the correct master cylinder and power booster. Any help would be great. Can they be rebuilt? Can I get rid of the ABS and use a regular MC and Booster? Any suggestions? I've only had this truck for about 3 months.

Post up pics of your setup. You may have the rare complicated unicorn master cylinder.

I call auto nation in chandler and talk with their parts folks. They will usually give you a part number

If you have a doohickey between the brake fluid reservoir and the booster, you have the famous 'unicorn' master cylinder. That said, someone managed to repair the 'unicorn' part that is the common failing part. Take a look at this and read a few before and after for context. Post 185 has a pic of the unicorn version. Maybe that will help before dropping $1k on replacements. Generally speaking, if you have the 2006 DC, have ABS and don't have VSC, you have the unicorn system.

    Thank you. I'll do that.
    Just my luck a "unicorn"!
