Picked up DRT mount relocation kit for really cheap off marketplace. Now I need someone to weld it on for me.

Magnet is a great idea... my plastic ones crapped out on me probably a few months after install. I called customer service and they advised it was a known issue and sent me the new design, which are metal slide in units but the 'clip' is made of a fairly dense rubber...

So far, so good... but if the rubber ones fail or end up stretching out, I'll be stealing this idea from you!!! :hattip:

Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro Amber ditch lights and also amber Elite fogs came in yesterday. Got them installed tonight after work.

Ran the wires to the grommet underneath the drivers floor. I didn't want to cut the firewall grommet yet.

Currently I have the amber backlights turn on automatically when I turn on the truck. I'll add a switch to them later when I figure out what switch set up I want to go with.

These are the back lights and drls only.

I ordered coolant, need to order the no-spill funnel next. I'm waiting another month or so for warmer weather to do mine, plan to do the power steering as well.

If you can, get the rubbery hose like the one i have draining into the homedepot bucket. It slip over the draining port real easy and no need to drop the skid plate. I tried using the 3/16 and 5/16 ID clear hose and they do not fit. The 5/16ID hose was used on the passenger side port. It was loosey goosey. Got it done but it dripped some on the floor, little extra clean up.

What was the size of the hose that fit correctly?

So probably get a 1/4" ID hose for the block drain then?

What size hose fit the radiator drain?

I’d say 3/16ID if rubbery, will fit fine. I can get the size tonight after work.

Bought one of those from eBay through their official store. Had to return it because it would not let me do anything but check and clear codes. Won’t let me access any modules or anything. Hope yours is better.

I hope so for you also. I wanted mine to work since you were supposed to be able to change the settings like seat belt chime and what not. Mine must’ve been a defective unit. I did all the updates prior also. Definitely let us know your results. For now i’m back to using techstream on an old laptop.

I just did my first coolant flush a few weeks ago at 39k. Maybe a little early but my trucks an '18 and probably was never done before I bought it used Nov. '23 so my guess is that coolant was about 7years old. Definitely a good feeling knowing ya got fresh coolant in there.

To soon to tell, but I hit clear and started the truck and it was the first time in weeks she fired right up. So it did work and I posted additional menu photos in the other thread.

I'll do the driving portion later.

Finally remembered to take pic for you of lower mount area of Dirt King coilover. Ground it back just a little and put some cheap black spray paint over the raw metal after.

I did mine last summer (almost 6 years) and about 36K miles and I don't think it was early. It's cheap insurance and pretty easy to do.

I have one, too. The learning curve is kind of steep and the instructions are worthless.

Just spend some time with it and it will start to make sense how it works.

I haven't used it yet for anything but changing settings, but it does that so far.
