That bumper is awesome - I need something like this for our 1000’s of deer out here…..LOL

Couple questions, tell us about the install, how long did it take and level of difficultly? Look like you have a lift but does this bumper require any modification to the front suspension due to weight, I think it is around 250lbs right?

    Thanks

It has taken longer than I expected. Ironman’s instructions are a video and it is lacking to be sure. They don’t really tell you which hardware and such for each step along the way. I had a CBI stealth bumper that I had to take off and that ended up being a chore with a couple bolts, then my winch that fit with that bumper does not with the new one; the winch head is too big. So I had to relocate the head but given the shape of it, it’s still kinda huge. So I used a project box and moved the electronics into it and mounted above the side intakes as pictured. Then I made fog light mounts in the center as the fogs are too wide for the side wings which was my original plan. Then waited for my Strands cubes to come in. I’ve been working a lot this week and weekend, so all this got stretched over a couple days and I should finish soon. But I would say 8 hours or so. It lowered the front by about .05-0.75 inches or so, and no you don’t need a lift.

But the bull bars are huge which to me gives it a great look and protection for the trail or road. Deer are stupid.

What winch are you using ? I'm down to the Ironman or the ARB......I know on the 200 my winch install was a lot longer then the shop expected....but the result was worth it, and it held up really well over time.

I have the Harbor freight badlands 12k winch which has been great. I’ve used it a bunch. It comes with a master battery switch and relocation kit which is great, it’s just the shape of the head that proved to be challenging.

I like ARB’s new tundra bumper but it was $2495 w/o the option of a bull bar or grille protection, that’s what I need.

Installed new mud flaps from Amazon on my new 1794.
Wider than factory by about 2” (I have a spare set of rears from my old truck) they look good, drivers rear seems just a little misaligned, but all others look great. May just need a little adjustment on the one.

Thanks. $100 extra is a small price to pay for security and longevity.

Installed Rago bed stiffeners. Recently put on a Leer 100XR shell and these are cheap insurance for the composite bed.

Made a nice board to fit in factory bed slots. Had some extra stain, so I worked on it off & on all weekend to stain & clear it (I was bored), then added some rubber strips on the side to help keep it from moving. (Don't need floppy wood) so here it is.20250317_161210.jpg20250317_161243.jpg 20250317_161320.jpg 20250317_161329.jpg

Did a manual wash this weekend and found this on the driver side roof. It's not dirt but looks like some sort of separation. Taking it to dealer this week and let them diagnose it.

Heritage grill installed with no lights for now. It wasn’t fun but not bad in the end. 1.5 hours taking my time.

Good practice for when you have to take it all off again to install the lights.

You can actually install the lights with out removing grille. You can do it by removing all bolts for shutters & moving it around enough to get hands & an arm down there. It's not bad at all.
Light bar might be a trick, but the amber lights are easy to do.

Interesting, hadn't seen this before. are you running 295 65R20 w/ no lift/level with this installed? Or is lift/level still needed just don't have to cut frame/trim anything else?

I can honestly have it off the truck with shutters removed in 5 min. Most of the work with the swap is unclipping stuff that doesn’t need to come off for lights.

Finished the Ironman Bumper install, added 6 new Strands Lighting Division cubes and rounds, made new fog light mounts, winch head relcoation and re-boxing, and installed the Icon Sway bar drop kit. I feel like it turned out great, I can switch the marker lights amber or white as well.

HOWEVER…on my VERY first test drive the truck threw error codes and the engine is dying. My local dealership confirmed it and ordered a new engine for me. But at least it’s a new engine at 51k which ain’t bad
