Tundra 2001 4.7 L During water pump and timing belt change. Left cam gear moved 8 teeth forward. Was wondering if I could just move Cam back? Or any recommendations somebody might have. Thank you

When did you noticed that it moved? After you pulled the tensioner pin and rotated the crank?

    There's a sticky thread for that: https://www.tundras.com/threads/timing-belt-master-thread-sticky.107240/

See page 1 reply #27 and again with page 2, reply #39 for a video showing how to jump back the necessary number of teeth.

Meanwhile, make sure you understand the correct timing marks, since a lot of people aren't clear on how to properly set time: https://www.toyoheadquarters.com/threads/toyota-2uz-fe-timing-belt-marks-4-7l.335/

It "kicked" on you is what happened I am guessing. Assuming the belt is removed, just move it back into position but DON'T rotate it. If you pull your spark plugs out, it will make aligning everything (cams and crank) much easier.
