I call this one: "Rudy Day 1"

This photo is from the minute I picked him up at 'cargo'. Approximately 2 weeks prior to this, he had flown from Holland to Indiana. We first met in Indiana, and he spent about 4 days (on and off) w/us going through testing along w/several other dogs...

We left, but couldn't fly him back w/us; he would spend another 10 days or so in Indiana before being cleared to fly to Vegas, and then when he arrived at 'cargo' in vegas I was there waiting for him. I walked in to the holding area, started talking w/the attendant, and heard thump, thump, thump!!! I wondered if he remembered me at this point; maybe my scent; maybe my voice; maybe my appearance....

Staff helped me load the air crate into the bed of my '08, and this was the look on his face... kinda, "are we done w/this plane shit yet", and a little bit of, "you need to get me out of here so I can piss"

We drove out of the loading docks, found the first grassy patch (it was really just a tree planter box in a parking lot w/some dirt in it), and I let him out for a break. He flew out of the kennel, jumped up slamming into my chest w/his front paws and shoulder as if to say, 'thankkkk you', and then he launched over to the tree and did his business.

After he took a break we sat on the tailgate for a few before I put him back into the crate to drive him home...

Taking a piss after a long flight???

 

Beautiful sunny day and the power is out..

Got this little inverter for Christmas a few years ago and only used it once to power the Xmas tree lights when the power went out.
I always thought I could make the wife a cup of coffee or run the toaster with it, but no.
It has a 300 watt output limit.

I did get it to turn the living room TV using the attic antenna.
Then moved it to my office to see if it would run the PC and router.

So far so good, but pop tarts without the toaster is a rough start to the day..
