That’s the RCI front skid…aluminum..I was worried it wouldn’t work with this bumper, but it fits just under it…I’m hoping I can slide it out when service the front diff
I’m rusty on this posting stuff, so my apologies if I’m doing it wrong

I just installed the Ironman Raid front bumper and it took me nearly 6 hours. How long did yours take?

    Hello!
Once I had the winch installed and lights, probably 3-4 hours
Hardest part for me was disconnecting the parking sensor on passenger side
Funny thing is, these sensors have never done much since I bought the truck new 8 years ago

Any issues with fitment? Did you have to trim or relocate anything?

CBI Baja is the next item on my list

Nope. Just take off the old one, new one bolts on. Gotta trim a little on one of the grill supports (think it’s #24 in this thread)
It’s heavy with the winch on…definitely will need helper

Lol of course #24 is one of the few posts that isnt displaying the picture, at least for me its not.

Is it pretty obvious when you get the bumper mocked up? For what needs to be trimmed ?

I am considering getting this bumper, but the price for shipping is almost a third of the cost of the bumper. How much was it shipped? Or how much did they charge you for shipping? Any fitment issues?

    @copmagnet82

That's pretty standard for something so heavy it's going freight not UPS

$300 is what they charged me, $2104 out the door with tax and shipping right now on black Friday.

If a company offers free shipping your paying more the closer you live. That's communist market economy in practice. Free shipping is not free shipping if the item costs $300 more than everywhere else.

Prime example is RCI . They're base price is cheaper than anyone else but once you add shipping to where I live it's the most expensive option for me

    YMMV

    Same.

Only way around it is if you live close by, and could pick it up .

Well, looks like I will have to fork out $450 on shipping.

Can one of you, either @Shawsmash or @smokint, do me a solid and measure the distance from the grill to the outside of the bull bar? My garage is pretty tight and I am trying to figure out if the truck is going to fit with the bumper.

OP. You happen to have any idea what the weight of this bumper is? Some sites say ~105lbs, some say ~160lbs…. I even called CBI and they have no idea lol.

    I believe it’s 135lbs.
It’s a very nice bumper. If anyone is getting this bumper, I would suggest getting it bare metal and getting it powder coated at your local shop.
    CBI powder coating kinda sucks.

A little over 100#…once winch on, you’ll need a helper

Awesome looking bumper. I like the bar on top as it will really protect the radiator in case of a deer strike. Great post, thanks.

IMG_20250225_161132123_HDR.jpgso I got my bumper installed now sans light or winch.

Quick question I see the access hole in the top between the grill and the bumper.

2 questions can you see the spool from the top or would you have to watch the line spool through the light bar cutouts?

And can you access the clutch on your winch from here ?
    IMG_20250225_171202069.jpg

    Thanks
