I knew a guy back in the day who bought a brand new Yugo for about $4k and then dropped about $4k on rims, stereo, subwoofer, etc. That's kinda the same thing.

For those that were wondering about the ability to clock the shifter. There are cut slots on the shifter ball end that force them to slot in with the detents that also hold down the spring collar. The end is pressed onto the shift lever so you could try to pull it off the splines and then re press it in the position you want it.

Anybody with an 01 or newer ever try E15 88 octane? It's like 10¢/gal cheaper than 87 at Walmart. I might give it a try next time. It said must be an 01 or newer vehicle

Don’t you need a flex fuel vehicle for that?

I think 2001 was when “flex fuel” vehicles started being built, but I don’t think that means that all 01+ vehicles can use it.

Not positive about that but I looked into it on my Lexus and they can’t run it. My moms minivan could, and it said so on the gas cap.

The pump said flex fuel or any vehicle made 01+
    Google seems to agree.
    But I'm not convinced either.

Seems the only logical solution is to check the owners manual.

I don’t know. Part of me thinks “What could the extra 5% ethanol really do?” but I’m pretty sure our trucks don’t have an ethanol sensor, and the engine needs to run abnormally richer when using E85/E15. I wouldn’t want to run my engine lean.

Plus you get worse mileage with increased ethanol.

Yea, my truck says not to use more than 10% ethanol. I might set up one of those plastic drums to start washing the ethanol out of my fuel.

But then you’ll lose 10% of your fuel so there goes your effective 1 mpg extra. :p

the ethanol water mixture i wash out would be good for something. And i’d have an extra ?12hp? On tap to outrun race trucks.

Not in the Tundra, but I pretty much run it every fill in my Altima. Absolutely no mileage difference from 87 that I've seen and it's 30 cents cheaper here.

Not with E15. EPA says any vehicle newer than 01 should be good, officially I think it was 2014 that Toyota ok'd it.

I think in the next few weeks I'm going to try to schedule a tune with @texoma because I don't think Quantum even tuned the ECU they sold me. Or if they did, they did a shit job. So if you're ready by then, I could come to your place too, and we could get your truck ready for T2S.
I've been on the lookout for a cheap spare 33 for you too. What size wheels you have laying around without a tire? Those 33's I grabbed from @TX-TRD1stGEN are 285/70r17 IIRC, but even a 285/75r16 would make a suitable spare for ya.

I guess I confused it with E85 which I thought was the same but obviously not. I wasn’t aware E85 was 51-83% ethanol. I was thinking that it was 85% gasoline and 15% ethanol. So confusing.

You aren't the only one. Sheetz here will drop the E15 to $1.99/gallon randomly and all of then people get in an uproar that it will ruin peoples vehicles.

Fell off a ladder from about 4 feet up at work last night 0 stars, will hopefully not be repeating.

Couple scrapes and a impressive bruise on my left side but ok otherwise. Except for my pride, that is in shambles.

    Accident report filed of course

Me and Beau both seen it, but we also already have em. :)

I paid that much for two sets of em before covid. And mine weren't used.
Cool he got em re-coated, but he's asking damn the near new price from DD.

What ever happened to that dude that was working on some headers?

Fawkking spring cant come soon enough. Currently 3 degrees, and another 72 hours before we will be above freezing. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a consistent winter, but I was in shorts and a t shirt a couple of days last week.

Yeah it shifts so often, that you can never get used to it, and if you're like me, I tend to get mildly ill nearly every time the weather shifts from one end of the spectrum to the other. This weekend I was in my Crocs and shorts. Last night I was freezing my ass off at work

Fuck man, I hate the heat, but this is ridiculous. This weather needs to stop with the powerball ass numbers. 80! 32! 6! 45! 69! I need to put my fuel pump in! I might be able to on Friday. I dunno.
