    These raise the tires 6"

I will need to see how much that will help me with the spoiler down. I like the idea as I can stow them up against the wall in the garage and shouldn't be too heavy. I take it you made them and use them?

yeah... I'm not running a 3rd Gen, so I have no idea what your clearance is like. However, on my '21 Pro (w/OE Pro suspension) I can comfortably navigate under the vehicle w/a creeper or just rollin' myself under the truck w/o too much difficulty and have easy access to the skids, sliders and such

I had a set of those plasticy ones that I noticed a crack in one day, so I got rid of those and went this route. They are heavier than the plastic ones and much more stable!!

I love the idea of the solid ramp for sure, I have seen many videos of ramp fails. I would not want it to happen to me. The spoiler on 3rd gens drop down a good bit and clearance is not much, but this may make it enough. And adding a Fumoto valve may just ease the task also with limited clearance. Hmmmmm

Just wanted to confirm a few more things:

Re the tubing size that goes on the spill plate for the oil filter, is 5/8, correct? and is the 5/8 ID or OD?

Finally, is the end of the oil filter nipple barbed, straight flush or other?

    thank you very much

Well, changed my first oil yesterday. Here are some things I learned:

-The oil drain plug (supposed to be tightened at 30 ft/lbs) which i expected to put some real elbow grease/torque to loosen, was barely lightened. I was surprised it was not leaking, changed oil at 5012 miles

-The oil filter was just the opposite. I needed a pair of channel locks to remove it. I hand tightened until seal was really snug, then did 3/4 revolution more.

-The box of 10 tundra OEM oil filters i bought from dealer DID NOT have the oil
Pan bolt washers in it as they said. So, i used the old one and tightened to 32 ft/lbs instead of 30 ft/ lb spec.

-I used my rhino ramps to raise and i Aldo needed a foot stool to comfortably reach engine oil cap (I'm 6'4")

-QUESTION: The skid plate/guard is completely diff on my 2024 vs what I saw in the enclosed video. It's a very light, flimsy piece of what seems like cardboard & felt. What do you other owners of 2024 tundras have? (SEE PICS) Also, plz see the beginning of the video link for a much more robust skid plate. When did these change to the cardboard ones?

much better skid plate seen in first part of video:

Yeah, I wouldn't call that a skid plate. It's just a flimsy cover, probably more for aerodynamics than anything else. That's what most come with.

It's prob due to cost; which the former is much more durable and tough, if this ever hit anything on the road, it would be destroyed.

That^^^^ is why I bypass dealers. I don't even take it in for the free oil change.

    @tstex
What you have is standard equipment. Consider it a splash shield, not a skid plate. Keeps the slop accumulation to a minimum.
TRD skid plate (aluminum) is an extra cost option except on TRD Pro.

Didn't you install the Fumoto valve you ordered?
(No need to mess with drain plug crush washers at that point.

The one on my 25 is a composite plastic, not felt.
