05-06 Tundra FSM

 

Looks to be the exact same thing. Whoops. I should have expected Shifty to have already have linked it.

I knew it was there because I often look at both even though I have an early truck. The 05-06 manual has that few extra years worth of knowledge and the processes differ across the two volumes.

For example the 00-02 manual makes no mention of using FIPG on the half moon plugs when doing the valve cover gaskets.

 

Yeah, and only one of the two actually shows you where to apply/how to spread the FIPG super-clearly. One shows better/clearer diagnostics for O2 sensors than the other despite the function being essentially identical. It's weird like that. I often look at both.

Alright, I got a remote tune/troubleshooting session scheduled for tomorrow at 3. I figured I'd just take off at lunch and throw the new o2s in before to eliminate those codes. He even said with it locked he'll be limited in what he can do. I told him I just need to see what it's doing to get it running before Ironman goes into @JakeJake lab to get surgery. If it doesn't get running, I have a work truck.

 

Porkchop isnt running at all? I thought it would just fall on its face @ WOT above 2nd gear.

 

Porkchop was the SHO we rode around in during Panhandlemonium. Donut is the Vic. It's not starting at all since Christmas. Still does the WOT thing. And herky jerky shit at 3500.

I was going to text you about this today. I'm not in in rush if you wanna get Donut squared away first. It does seem a little crazy to have both of your personal cars down You never know, right?

 

Yeah, we'll see what the tuner dude says tomorrow. If he says it's fubar, we can go from there. If it runs tomorrow, fuck it we ball on the tundra.

Thinking about coming over the superior VVTI side on your next best gen purchase? I thought you were in the denial camp. I mean the ones that try to convince themselves that 00-02 is more reliable with their 10 less TQ, 35 less HP, and weak planetary gears

OEM bumpers are meant to be smashed and changed to manly steel

 

Don't you start either. We all know that 02 AC v8 4wd is THE superior tundra. Doubly so if it's two tone. With 2 15's. Anybody who has that truck is awesome.

 

Or something indeed. I didn't do any of the truck stuff I said I was going to do last weekend. But I had a damn good weekend regardless. I'm hopeful I'll get around to some truck stuff this weekend.
