How can you test if the crankshaft position sensor is bad?

Well problem fixed! It was a faulty camshaft sensor and a faulty camshaft sensor. Still idles a bit high, but I’ll take it. It idles at around 1200 rpm.

Thanks for checking back in to report your findings! Glad it seems sorted. The idle may relearn with some time and engine cycles.

    Awesome

Keep us posted on the idle and if you get it to relax.
My truck has an idle around 900rpm, which is still too high.

Thank you all for your help! I mean I was about to blow this truck up. I don’t like to use my being deaf and being obsessive compulsive and dyslexic as an excuse but without your guy’s help my son and I would have just walked away. Yeah the idle sits at about 1100rpm which I hope will die down after a bit. But it used to idol at 600 or 700 rpm. But AGAIN THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

I don't think I speak for just myself here, but It's great to see you overcome the issues you were up against (a lot of us have had some real difficult ones as well).
Hopefully your initiation is over, and you (or your son) can just enjoy driving it now. Welcome to the group, and like @KNABORES said, stick around

Okay this is a stupid question but how did this happen? Is there a way I can unscrew something to zero in the ignition to the panel trim hole? Did I accidentally move something and it lowered the ignition key? All the bolt holes line up and screw in easy?

Perhaps the missing black plastic trim ring is the final piece of the puzzle that's keeping the lock cylinder from being centered in the trim panel?

Even with the ring it still isn’t centered? And the key ring isn’t all that busy, it’s a truck key, a house key, and old key rings from when my boys were little!

    OKAY LAST QUESTION.
From the rear diff to the center support bearing what angle should that be?

then from center support bearing to the trans, what angle should that be?

I could measure mine with my angle finder (It is a 2000) but it's 4x4.
Didn't you say yours was lifted too?
What are you trying to investigate/determine with the angle measurement?

My son says he is getting a vibration at the center support bearing. I looked and it seems the rubber is cracked and loose. It’s not lifted I think with the new rough country shocks in front and rear it might have lifted it a 1.5 or 2? Just want to know the angle the drive shaft should be before I put a new center bearing on it.

    Rear shocks don't provide lift.

If it was me I wouldn't sweat the actual angle one bit. You haven't modified anything so the angle will be what it will be.
If the drive shaft center support bearing is cracked and loose it needs to be replaced regardless. "Spicer" is the brand you want.

So I won’t need a center support bearing drop kit?
I am aware the rear shocks don’t provide lift the leaf springs do.

    Pictures would help.
I just measured my center of axle to wheel arch, about 22.5 inches. I have some stupid stout bastard leaf packs. I have no carrier bearing drop kit, and everything is fine. Keep in mind my rig is 4x4, but i think the carrier bearing mount is in the same place. Several members have 2wd rigs that are lifted a little bit, I don't think any are using a drop on the carrier bearing.
    @The Black Mamba
You don't have a drop on your center bearing do you Mamba?

This makes me think about my 35-45mph or so vibration I’ve got now. Never noticed it before my new leaf packs, which gave me about an inch of lift in the rear. Oddly though. I notice it when towing too, so don’t think it’s rear ride height related.
