For all you second gen owners out there looking to swap headlights from the 2018 Sequoia onto your 2007-13 Tundra, here's a thread for you.

Below are the two options for headlights. One is from the Platinum model, and the other is from the rest of the model options. The only difference is in the outside, top corner of the headlight. On the Platinum, it is chrome. On the others, it is black. Here's some pictures:

2018 Sequoia (Limited, SR5, etc.) LED Headlamp

Barely any difference between the two visually. Only the outside, top corner above the yellow reflector is different.

Here are a few links to them in the store:

    https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-panel-fr-end-rh-l-539310c904

These are not plug and play. You will have to come up with a wiring solution for them, similar to the 2018 Tundra LED headlights. Also, I am unsure what other parts you will need. There are a few that are obvious, but I will wait to update this until someone has completed the swap and we can confirm all parts needed.

When are these available for purchase? Also, I'm wondering if they are height adjustable? TIA

There's a 2018 Sequoia Platinum on the lot here in town, sticker $69K . And other than the headlights it looks the same as all the other ones since 2008 unless they changed the interior.

Interior is “upgraded” to match the current 3rd gen Tundra. Pretty sad “refresh” IMO for an almost 10 year old model. Crazy to me that you can spend $65K+ on an SUV that looks identical to the model released 9 years ago.

I hope someone develops a harness (and quickly); these are a must for me.

Am I missing something? Our headlights aren't shaped like that, they're flat across the bottom.

I thought the same thing... At some point I need to replace wife's 4r. Not a fan of the new 4r either, prefer my 2004... For 70k there are much nicer options

Yes, you’d have to change the plastics beneath the headlamps. They’re about $50 each and come unpainted from what Roman said on another post. He also can’t guarantee they’ll fit until someone tries it.

Exactly. I don’t understand how the Lexus LX can be so light years ahead of the Sequoia. I get that it has to be nicer, it’s a Lexus, that’s a given. But they clearly have the ability to upgrade at least the interior.

I also checked and the Sequoia’s still only have a 26 gallon tank which blows my mind, it needs that bigger 36-38 gallon tank the new Tundra’s have.

Just an all around disappointment for me. Been holding out, my wife’s 2006 4Runner only has 100K miles so we’ll be waiting for them to completely redesign it. With 2 kiddos it’s getting tight though...

I went again today and looked through the window of the 18 Sequoia, the steering wheel is the same as a 3rd Gen Tundra and some changes have been made but it's definitely not identical interior to my 17 Tundra.

There’s already some guys that have done the front end swap, I thought I’d like it but it looks funny. I guess if they redid the body lines on the rear it might look better.

3rd gen is hideous. 2nd Gen is what peak performance looks like.

You can place an order now. There is no manual height adjustment like on the Tundras.

At $1,600 for the complete swap? I must’ve picked the wrong career path...

For that price, I won't give them a second glance. They're simply too much.

Yeah , that's crazy out of my budget. Plus I'm kinda not feeling them. The smaller light looks weird IMO.

I love the look of them in person, but I wouldn't spend that much on them. If they were closer to the price of the new Tundra headlights, I could see me selling a lot of them.

I'd love to have the woodgrain steering wheel in my Tundra Limited, looks like it would match the wood dash trim perfect.

Hey Roman. Do you have any updates on the headlights wiring because I want to do this swap to my 2013 Sequoia Limited with the 2018 Limited headlights. How much does it cost for the Limited or Platinum Grille?

I do not. As far as I know, no one has been trying to build a harness adapter for these like with the new Tundra LED headlamps. I think it's because the cost is so high for the swap. Not many people are attempting it.

    Limited grille
    https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-grille-sub-assy-rad-531010c080

    Platinum grille
    https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-grille-sub-assy-rad-531010c090

You'll also need the upper painted portion of this, which is separate. It comes in 8 different colors from Toyota, so hopefully one of those matches yours.

Thanks for the info. I guess I’ll hold on the headlights swap for a while until someone’s project works out (Or a price drop). Do you happened to know if the grille is a plug-n-play kind of swap or do I need to modify a part? As for the upper painted portion, I’d need that piece in black.
