Correct. FWIW I almost never lock the T-case, my truck is street orientated, I don't off-road it.

Post 163 has a decent wiring diagram for the Sequoia switch.

Thanks. I pulled that down the other night but it disappeared in to the aether somewhere on my machine.

Truck is at my buddy's shop tonight, thawing out. We'll pull the driveshaft in the morning to get it shortened, then swap transferases. Then I'll tackle the wiring :)

My truck has a 4" rear drop and 2 leaves out of the leaf springs. I ran into an issue with the driveshaft bottoming out and had to take a little bit of the spline portion off to be safe. I also had the driveshaft hitting the crossmember, so cut it out and welded an ugly but functional square tube brace there. Also was hitting the bottom of the cab, so had to notch that a little bit as well. But my truck is very low, you most likely won't have those issues.

Transfer case is swapped - woohoo! But driveshaft is stuck at the machine shop. Was supposed to be ready Monday but the guy doing it was sick the last couple of days (small mom and pop shop). Hopefully it will be ready tomorrow.

As for the front driveshaft, the boot over the splines appears to be cracking as we stretched it out. We still haven’t stretched it all the way. Anybody know if that boot is user serviceable?

Bearings for the rear diff didn’t show up until today, so it’s still got some time on the lift.

Just loosen one of the clamps on the boot and move that end to a more neutral location.

    Thanks. I’ll give that try.

I picked up the driveshaft at 4:59pm yesterday. They were very apologetic for the delays and gave me an unsolicited discount on an already low price. Small mom and pop shop, and I completely understand the delays. It happens.

The case is in and buttoned up, just need to install the 4wd ecu and see how it rolls!

It’s in, it runs, and it’s smooth. I like it.

Does this make me the first AWD Whipple-charged tundra? :D

Yes, I see the irony of being 7 years late to the AWD party…

I snuck the 4wd ECU out and installed the sequoia unit without pulling the dash apart. There’s just enough rough to sneak a 1/4” drive 10mm deep socket on a stubby driver underneath the dash. When I wire in the momentary switch, I’ll pull it back in to the shop and pull it all apart.

I drove around town in 4hi on basically dry roads, turning around in parking lots with zero binding. Fabulous. Like driving my sequoia, but angrier… :) Can’t believe it took me so long to get this installed :frusty: As many have said, it should have come from the factory this way. 1000000% happy so far.
