What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Hooked her up and put her to work! Didnt like the weight and the sand, but did the job and did it well.

 

Very good, I called Wolfbox to get a couple questions answered during my install, they told me they don't currently make a bracket for my 3rd gen. I'll check the website here and there. Thanks for the update.

 

I did the same thing. I gave them a call and they told me the bracket doesn't exist for my truck yet but I went ahead and ordered one anyway and it worked.

 

Does this replace the original mirror ? Does it plug into the factory mirror plug

Damn that's a tight fit. I bought a similar compressor for my SAS truck, but I carry the single cylinder version in the Tundra. I modified mine with a pressure on/off switch so it turns on if pressure in the line drops below 30PSI and turns off when it hits 110PSI. Where did you mount your switches at?

 

Yes, it will replace the factory mirror by either strapping over it with supplied straps or if you decide too buy the OEM bracket from WolfBox(sold separately), it will completely replace it all together. Either way, you would lose functionality of your Toyota Homelink if that is your concern. It does not use the factory mirror plug so you would need to tuck that away.

as possible dont want a bunch pf wires and plugs if i can eliminate the factory stuff

Hope I linked that correctly but yeah you'll definitely have at least 1-3 wires coming down from your headliner to plug into the top of the mirror. I say 1-3 because 2 of them are optional(rear cam and GPS) .

It’s definitely tight, but not crazy. The mount sits low enough to fit the unit to clear the hood, while giving enough space to get your hands in there to mount the compressor. My main switch is in the center console behind the shifter. The pressure switch (70-100psi) is mounted in-line after the compressor, and is wired to the switch. So the pressure switch cuts off power when I hit the shutoff valve behind the pressure gauge under thehood.
The circuit breaker is above the battery.

Very cool, just like I did on my compressor. I've got a very old Superflow MV-90, basically the single cylinder version of your compressor. I can't mount there on my truck, I have a S&B intake. Plus I do like the portability of the compressor being carried instead of mounted, but it looks very clean. I did just pick up the @RainMan_PNW switch mount for behind my shifter, I'll be mounting my FRAC and light switches there soon. Regardless, they're great compressors.

Nice! I really like the S&B intake. It was my first choice, but the California smog buffoons say no.

What is the purpose of the gps for the mirror cam ?

 

Yea, not my girlfriends favorite. It's over on my side so that the kids don't read it lol. There's a few other good ones scattered in there.

 

Yeah, the small black box in the top right corner is the GPS. It provides information on the mirror itself as well as the video playback. Provides GPS coordinates, speedometer, and compass all on the mirror. Each of those can be enabled or disabled in the settings. I'll snap a picture or maybe try to upload a quick video this evening.

 

Idk if you ran it yet but I ran mine to the rear tailgate and the supplied 20 something feet didn't work. I purchased the 33ft wire.

Nah, I didn't run it all the way, I think I prefer to keep it at the rear window, that way I'm be able to keep an eye on any load I might have.
It seems like the wire that it comes with would be long enough. I got so much of it rolled up back there in the headliner. Do you have yours in place of the stock rear camera? Is it a perfect fit there?

Put my bed rack back on and installed my new fishing rod holders

I couldn't be happier and there is so much more to come in the coming months!

Completed and tested a custom upfitter switch panel, harness, and relay box. Ready to be installed this week!

Backlights looks great. This is an upfitter switch from Ford trucks.
