Due to snow and craptastic 50 mph winds...decided to paint the heat shield on the .308.

Unfortunately I did not get long enough bolts for the bipods. May have to go into my mod mindset to resolve the issue.

They cut my run last night so I got the day off.
I'm pretty sure I'll be off tomorrow when all this freezes.
Started my 3 to 7 month vacation 2 days early.

It sleet/snowed this morning here then it turned to rain.
It's starting to snow again and should keep coming down this evening..

What I did on my unexpected day off after putting firewood on the back porch and cleaning out the fireplace.
    Absolutely nothing..

Knowing how the weather went, I probably would have made it to Little Rock and back OK.
I'd be between Mt Pleasant and Dallas right now and it's starting to slow down.
    Probably best I stayed home.

    upload_2025-1-9_16-13-38.png

I think you guys north of Dallas got more sleet and snow during the day today than I did..

My dog hates closed doors. She will willingly come into a room and hang out for a while but if you close the door she instantly needs to leave lol

Yeti Country built the dinner table, coffee table, and end table.

Texas makes some really nice custom tables too.

I lived in Pearland until I was 13, and kept a friend from elementary school after I graduated from High School. He invited me down the summer after we graduated and we spent a day crabbing, and partied on Crystal Beach that night. Once dinner was done, we built a fire and the bongs and bottles broke out. About 10:00 the beach patrol pulled up on us from both sides. Naked girls, illicit substances, and underage drinking was all going on and I knew I was spending the night in jail. One of the patrol trucks' PA came on, and the officer announced that our cars were blocking resident's driveways, and could we please move them. And they left. That was the night before the oil slick hit in the mid 80s.

Now that I think about I guess Permanent Waves is what got me into Rush.
    At least side 1.

    upload_2025-1-9_19-24-41.png

I was a fan of Signals.
That's when the purists bailed on them..
I'd listen to this entire LP over and over in 1982.

I used to have this old NAD receiver and little Mission speakers in middle school/HS. I was a huge Rush fan. Man those speakers were tight and they would do Neil Peart justice. We went to several of their concerts but honestly I’m not sure which ones. I didn’t realize Peart died in 2020.
