Can a 2018 Tundra SR5 tow this RV?

I'm looking at 2014-2018 Tundras since they come with the factory trans cooler and I'm planning on towing a good deal of the year traveling around the mountain west (AZ, NM, CO etc.) so I'm wondering if the travel trailer I'm considering might be too much weight esp going up mountains.

    I'm specifically looking at a 2018 SR5 double cab.

According to the manufacturer the travel trailer I'm considering has dual axles, is 24 feet long and weighs 5,650 lbs dry. They say the hitch weight is only 650 lbs which seems kind of light to me for a trailer of that weight. The net carrying capacity of the trailer is 2,600 so the max trailer weight is 8,250.

From what I gather on searching tow capacity its around 10,200 lbs for the Tundra dbl cab, max tongue weight is about 1,020 lbs and payload capacity is about 2,080 lbs.

I would most likely get a weight distribution hitch. Is this trailer still too much for the 2018 Tundra?

Thanks for the advice. Oops just realized I prob should have posted this in "Towing and Hauling"

Yeah there’s tons of threads on here about a Tundras capability. Take note that there’s a little sticker in your door jam that states your true payload capacity. Expect that sticker to be a little over half of your number you listed.

I don't think any of the previous gen Tundras had 2000 lbs of payload. You can't go off the brochure info. Gotta look in the door jamb of the actual truck.

Yes send it. Look for one with a 38 gallon tank so the party lasts longer, those won’t have bench seats unfortunately.

I tow 8800 lbs with my double cab. Lock it in 4S and stay at 65 mph and enjoy the trip.

The truck isn't working very hard once it's moving.

As you tow more you will learn about speeding down long grades and coasting up the other side. Your mpg can really be improved by learning how to use gravity to help with towing.
