I used a butt connector after inferno_pro_satx showed me the picture. It's not too tight to work in but that little gray wire won't give much to work with so take your time and try to get it right the first time.

When I did my DRL delete just de-pinned the female terminal from flasher relay now I had a one way connector laying around from a previous project and the male terminal was the perfect match so crimped the male terminal in my 85 wire from relay connected pins and sealed them with a heat shrink wrap no spliced or cut factory wires, easily reversible to factory condition

    See fine print
    Black on off-road and sport.
    Chrome on platinum and 1794.

Wait a minute... i thought the only difference between the 18 lights are color only (choice of black or chrome). Would i need to order a platinum 18 light to retro on my 14 platinum?

Has anyone that installed the new 2018 headlights use LED turn signal bulbs? If so, was a load resistor needed? I’m shopping for them now.

Correct, The only difference is the color of the bezel, other than that every thing is the same between the two. They call it black, but it's actually a black chrome finish.

It looks like everyone has had success doing it on their own. I wonder if this is why others' aren't making PnP harnesses to sell?

EleDobleu is making them for sale, but I think the problem is sourcing the 8 pin plugs that connect to the headlight. Right now it seems to be a Toyota only part, so that might be what's holding up production.

Yes that's correct the problem is most OEM connectors are on backorder and they are not available yet at Ballenger so the problem to make PnP harnesses for sale is this

    Hi..
New to tundras.com, Im not a very tech guy, and beed looking to install the new '18 headlights, is everyone doing their own wiring for these? If so, what are the parts that I will need? (Besides the actual headlights)
Or has anyone made a full adapter harness yet?

Thanks in advance for the help...

Lower pointing down, or lower "not as bright"?
If your truck doesn't have a headlight leveling knob on the left side of the steering wheel (laveled 1 thru 5) then you have to go to the healight and it should have a knob on it to adjust the level of it...

Do both light move with the knob?
If one of them doesn't, then it might be leveling motor that is not working on that light.
If they both move but they're uneven, what I would do is set the selector to either the highest or lowest level, then disconnect the uneven headlight and manually adjust it to the right level. Then reconnect it again.
