Depin the current purple wire you have on D connector and if your building new set up 48930029fe708955b889531857ab1202_d08972d73d45b2fb61f985630cb567d1d8b0c43d.jpgas Thomas’s posted earlier the new purple’s will go in the circle locations.

I did relay wiring in-cabin I don't like relays in the hood or wires coming from my battery terminal, taking power from ignition activated 12v, and just have one wire from inside to the LED DRLs harness adapters sorry didn't get good pictures but just as an idea for someone still planning this mod, not trying to bash Thomasbus337 setup this is just another example Im running my setup flawless. I love this kind of projects this is my world. ;)

iHacker, looks good. I'm curious, where are you inserting the male terminals "purple wire from C bulb"?

I'm almost there :) Last 2 questions for the day: To unpin, how difficult is that, do I just push the pin out with a screwdriver, and the pigtails ( D and P) where to they plugin on both ends?

    Thanks

Use a push pin or paper clip and pull the locking tab down and pull the wire out. It’s on one of the pages on how to swap the wires at the cbulb and Thomas explains how to depin the wire with pic.c21c732529de9f3a88135e948a73583b_069cbc842396b5d046998e26ba26a9c3ad79c98e.jpg

For now temporary while I receive conectors for the adapters you made just depinned purple wire from the turn signal socket then inserted the male terminals in the depinned purple female and they are covered with a heatshrink wrap, virtually don't need the adapters the connection is secure but It will become permanent and secure when receive my adpaters

That's what I was thinking after I posted it. Another option, that can be done without the use of my signal adapters (which I will include in the new write up) and the way I ended up wiring mine is to swap around the male and female 4 pin plugs. I've got the male plug on my harness end and the female end (using the oem purple wire and female terminal) and my added pin 87 relay output (not shown)

I'm going to work on the two new separate write ups tomorrow.
Yeah, I guess you'd have to plan ahead to have more slack in the DRL wiring if you were going to do it this way. I'm offering it up as an alternative because the male 3 pin plugs to make the signal adapters are hard to find. Conicelli Toyota had to special order them for me the first time because no dealer in the US was showing any stock, and it took almost two weeks to get them. I ordered another two sets later and they had to credit me for one of the connectors because they were not available. I'm imagining they are on back order now, oops

Received all the parts today to make the relay. One question for Thomas, could you tell me the length of each on your relay please?

For the battery wire I went 33" plus the length of the inline fuse holder, 18" from relay to Driver's side headlight, 68" from relay to pass side. I guestimated on the length from the relay to the under dash area at 9ft just to be on the safe side then trimmed off the excess once it was in the cab.

@Lanceb83, I have piggybacked both power wires and both DRL relay outputs each on one terminal. I used the wire seals and terminals for 10-12 gauge wire for the doubles and I had no problems

Starting to put together my harness and think I might have messed up. I used the bigger pins to go into the 8-pin plug and I don't think they are going to fit. I'm not sure what pins (male or female) should go into the 8-pin plug. If someone can provide a photo that would be great. Also should I try and save the wrong pins I attached already or just trash them? Hope I didn't need those :(

6BD3C923-35A6-401F-92BA-E93DD22D2AF3.jpg I was looking around on eBay and found this attaches to your parking lights and 12v power. Not sure if you can buy this without the panel led kit....

Why would you wanna use that? You can build you’re own harness for around 100 bucks complete fully functional . That harness will only work for the drl’s you still have to wire up the headlights to work properly..

Oh, I just thought it was interesting. I built the headlight harness and they worked great, thanks for @thomasbus337 help and yours on the DRL. I am still waiting for parts to come in for my DRLS. I tested them but wanted to wait for some braided sleeve to come in for extra protection.

So for 86 and 30, how did you do that? Create a loop and tie the lead to either pin ( 86 or 30) going to the battery? Also, I have 3 sets of female pins for the relay that are labeled 11, 15, 17, which ones should I use? They seem to all fit in the relay....

    Thanks

Yes create a loop at 86 & 30 fused to the battery.

I did and I assume it doesn't matter which pin I attach the lead to going to the battery, since it is a loop? Also when terminating, do you crimp the round rubber sleeve that the wires slide through or push them in once you insert the pins into connector/housing?

    Thanks

86/30 get wired together then attached to the fuse lead. Once that is done you attach the other end of the fuse lead to the batt. The rubber gets crimped on after you crimp the wire.

I used heat shrink connectors then added heat shrink tubing over them.

Just about done with the relay harness, one last question. The connectors (75929) is labeled 1-4, what #/hole does the red wire terminate and which #/hole does the purple wire terminate? Hard to tell from Thomas's picture.

    Thanks
