    Merry Christmas everyone,

Recently I had 6 abs dtcs pop up

    C1223-
    ABS Control System Malfunction

    U0073-
    Control Module Communication Bus Off

    U0100-
    Lost Communication With ECM/PCM A

    U0123-
Lost Communication With Yaw Rate Sensor Module

    U0124-
    Lost Communication With Lateral
    Acceleration Sensor Module

    U0126-
Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module

Clearly it’s some sort of connection issue. My initial thought was a bad battery, so I had it checked at autozone and they told me my battery was good but I had a bad starter…. I have no issues starting my truck whatsoever so I’m having a hard time believing that. I found my negative terminal harness was a little loose so I tightened it and the codes went away for a little less then a day but then they popped back on. Just looking for any advice on what I should check for next and if it could be caused by my starter going bad or possibly my alternator?

    Questions for you:

Did you check all your fuses in the dash and the engine bay to ensure nothing tied to ABS is popped?

Does your horn work? If you have steering wheel controls, do those work? Asking with the angle that your clockspring may be FUBAR, or someone maybe replaced it with aftermarket garbage, which is often problematic.

Since you already had an issue with that ground cable, i’d be looking much closer in that vicinity again.

Or corrosion inside the negative cable, given how common corrosion inside the cables is on our trucks.

Horn still works, going through the rest of my connections this morning hopefully will find the problem. I’ll also have to check for corrosion inside the cable, I didn’t even think of that thanks for the tip!

After this reply from @BubbaW, I’m actually not surprised by it being batt/charging related.

Batt checks… depends on what unit they use. I have the same handheld unit most of the parts store chains use. When used in the wrong hands, they can give bad info. Some techs don’t know how to read the output properly. And how tou attach the leads matters greatly in how it is able to scan.
