Anyone out there running Front Bumper Spacers with a front bumper opening mounted light bar? I'm running Diode Dynamics 42" Light Bar and using @memario1214 upgraded light bar bracket and it doesn't look like there is enough threads to do the full 1/2" spacer install. I purchased the Coachbuilder Spacers, so techincally it is (2) 1/4" stacked spacers, but I'm not confident just (1) 1/4" spacers is going to clear my tire interference.

Any chance someone out there is running this same combo?

I used to run the same setup. I found some lower profile flange nuts that grabbed a little better, but it still wasn’t ideal. Have you looked at pushing the bumper plastics forward and ditching the shims, or dropping to one on each side? Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of options if you want both shims and the Better Bracket.

I ran into the same issue (link to post). I had 1/2" bumper spacers, swapped them to 3/8" thick spacers and it did the trick to allow both the light mount and bumper spacers fit. 3/8" still cleared my tires, but don't recall by how much.

    Haha what I do!
Also thinking that changing the hardware to low profile nuts is a really good idea :fistbump:

You could always just use the better bracket as a shim + just 1 spacer. Theoretically it should jive!

Interesting idea. I guess pushing the light bar 1/4" back in the opening wouln't be all that noticeable. Of course the better bracket is only one side of the bolts, but if my 1/4" spacers are the same thickness, I could just cut 2 of them up. I'll try just the 1/4" spacers 1st and see if I get lucky on tire clearance.

@memario1214 Slightly different topic, but any update on the improved fog light mounting brackets you mentioned in the past. I think they were also for the Diode Dyn. fogs

Luckily, I was able to get away with 1/4" spacers and a little fender liner work. As others mentioned, using the full 1/2" was a no go if using the Better Light Bar Brackets.

So if anyone else is looking to do this, I have the 2nd set of 1/4" spacers from Coachbuilder kit that I could sell.
