The only thing that throws me is, wheel bearing could maybe explain eccentric rotor travel, but without any play in the bearing that would seem weird to me.

This really seems like what I could have going on. Truck has been like this for a long time, I've had several 1,000+ mile trips this fall without a significant change in noise/driveability. Truck has 223k on it, likely original bearings all the way around. Sigh...... back to the search bar.

You don't want to do the rear wheel bearings if you can avoid it

Fronts, apparently not as painful but you'll probably need to remove the knuckle. And if you're removing the knuckle you may as well do the LBJ with new OEM units and OEM hardware if not done within the last 100k-125k miles OR someone installed non-OEM.

And honestly, for how little UBJ cost, and if you already have the knuckle out, may as well press in new uppers, even though they don't tend to fail as much, ~225k is a lot of miles on a wear item, and they're so much friggin easier to do with the knuckle out of the truck!

I really need to add links to wheel bearing pressing in the megathread, I don't think we have any in there now. Would be good in the 2nd reply "nuisance/annoyance" section.

I would say the rears are more finicky with assembly, but not necessarily more difficult than the fronts. The fronts are difficult to get all the necessary plates and braces to be able to press the bearing in and out.

OEM LBJ's have about 2000 miles on them, uppers are OEM and maybe 2 years old.

Just watched the TRQ video on bearing replacement, that looked........ horrible. I don't live in a rust state, but sheesh.
