Just do it… don’t matter if you mess it up. I have smoked probably a dozen of ‘em and my last brisket was my worst. Shit just happens. Now my wife has a two-yr supply of beef for soups and chili.

isn't it weird that we have one hand that knows how to do everything and then one hand that just sits there like "idk how to hold a pencil"

Whatever this forum told me to do
looks like we need another hot topic to prime this pump.

    D.O.G.E.

I hear that they will start with making the "work from home" folks come into the office.

    I'm all for it.

most fed/gov people that work from home are not working.

I am speaking about federal biz...not free market.

    federal biz is 95% waste.

Right. I'm sure the guy who has asked for a beer fridge at work is working hard.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    good point!

consider what would have to happen for those prices to come back down.

    housing prices
    grocery prices
    electricity prices

    it would be catastrophic

somebody will get bailed out....not you and I.

I'm not surprised. I'm seeing some used 2022 3rd gens listed for the same price or less than 2021/2020/2019 2.5 gen in my area.

Don't want to harp on 3rd gen trucks but Toyota fumbled the launch of the 3rd gen big time. Folks can say they are the same reliability/quality as the domestics now but it takes forever to build a reputation/goodwill and not much to ruin it.

It feels like the general pay more get less paradigm everything has fallen into post Covid and I'm over the shitty quality and shitty customer service that is becoming the norm.

That's looks very yummy! Yep, water boils a lot quicker here. I'm at 5743. Will boil even quicker if you are camping up in high country here. A Jetboil works really good here. Ha

I'm big on breakfast, but I need to look more into intermittent fasting. I do skip breakfast every once in a while if work is heavy, but most of the time I go pretty big. That doesn't help me lose any fat, which I'm trying to do, but it does help me gain muscle, which I'm also trying to do. Losing fat and gaining muscle in ones late 50's isn't the same journey as it was in ones late 20's...

    Not-so-funny story - -

I worked for the IRS for a few years when I was in my late 20's. I was the guy who answered the phone when someone was mad at the IRS for fv(k!ng something up - when it was truly and specifically the IRS that was in the wrong. Fun job. But there was a woman who worked in an adjacent team who did nothing for a living. Zero.

To be fair, her job was simply rubber stamping forms and documents sent in by taxpayers, but she didn't do it. Instead she sat at her desk with her hands in her lap. For 8 full hours every day. Rules restricted her from having personal calls either on her work phone or cell. She was only provided bathroom breaks, 15 minutes twice per day for a cig or snack, and lunch. She took all of those breaks, but otherwise had to sit at her desk or else she'd be fired. She couldn't get fired for not doing her job, mind you; but for taking too many 'breaks' and not being at her desk. Her disciplinary folder was literally a 10" three ring binder, completely full.
