My state requires a front license plate. But I really would like to have front tow hooks. Hmm

There are provisions for a front plate on this replacement piece.

Correct you just remove your existing license plate frame, then I prefilled drilled the dimples, installed with existing fasteners.

I think they released the kit so it will be easier to tie down on a flatbed? :crapstorm:

Update 1. No need to remove the whole grill assembly to get the lower valance off.

So, how did you do it?
I can see the upper and lower clips holes, how did you access the side ones?

I don’t have an air dam so maybe that makes a difference but I just disconnected all the clips holding the valance on from underneath and behind the bumper. It wasn’t difficult to get to them. Install of the new valance was just as simple. It did help to loosen the plastic parts above and to the sides a bit to have more room to work with.

I have no air dam so that wouldn’t be a factor. Are the cuts you made on both sides? Cannot visualize location(s) due to zoom.
    Edit:
Never mind, template photo 2.3 shows where they go. :)

Looks good. Kinda wondering if I should paint match mine though. Have a CSM truck and it’s just a lot of dark in the middle area between the grill and lower portion

Done! I love the look so much better in person than in pictures. Looks better without the TRD shackles on imo. Gonna buy some normal sized shackles in red soon. If I did this project again I would 100% leave the grill attached and remove the valance like I described above, that was pretty easy. The only thing I would do differently would be to install the bracket to the bumper prior to installing the new valance. That way will give you a bit more room for a torque wrench. This is a necessary mod and looks stout. How long are you guys spending on the install?

    Did it myself.

I also plastidiped all the silver body parts behind the grille when I had it off.

Missed that…since I did some other stuff while I had my front clip off probably 2.5 hrs for the install with the front clip removal would be my guess.

I have taken the front clip off before so it was much easier the second time around. I also did it by myself, last time I had a buddy.

Reno 7/8” aluminum shackles from Amazon.

About 1.5 hours for me. Took my time and had a 4yo “helping” me. I think I saved some time not taking the entire grill off.

Assume you went through every box, there was a lot of packing boxes in mine to fill space. Should have been a bag with 8 bolts and some washers.

Doesn't appear to be available for sale in Canada yet ? Anyone else have luck up north ?

called 3 dealers - one said it's only able to be installed by them , but they would have to investigate, a second said they can't order it yet and a third said it wasn't a valid part number.

ordering something heavy like this from the US - the shipping would likely be even more than the part lol. **EDIT**..... LOL Sparks Shipping to me 1041.33 USD

Anyone in Canada who lives close to the boarder want to go grab one for me ?

Dealer said unusual to come without a hardware kit but they are looking into what can be done. The part numbers for the bolts on the install guide are showing discontinued to them so they can’t order just the parts and said usually there is a part number with HW or HK suffix but they can’t find it and have to call Toyota to figure out what to do next. Said they would be open to ordering another kit and see if it’s in there to file the missing part claim but of course kit is back ordered.

all that to say, was there anything on the bag of hardware to indicate part numbers for those that got it?

Correct. Not in the Canadian parts catalog yet, at least not to order.
