I pulled the valve off, and tightened the screw all the way down too

I can't tell from the pic but if a valve isn't closing it's likely there is some sort of debris in the valve itself.

Did you use plumbers tape when installing the new hoses?

That is my thought as well as it didn’t do it last time…
    And no :anonymous:

Should I just blast the shit on to try and flush it out?

Yep. Get a bucket and see if the valve is closing when it's off. If not a new valve may be in order. Or clean it with CLR and a small brush. I use a tooth brush.

Then Reapply new plumbers tape on all male threads and reinstall new hoses.

Side note: I live on a well with mild to fairly hard water. I soak anything that leaks in a descaller and bingo, no more leaks.

I always have. Is this a no?

edit: as a disclaimer I'm no professional. So I could very well be wrong.

double edit: as a bonafide hack in home repairs I'll just go back to lurking around here. Maybe my advice isn't the best...

I googled compression fittings and teflon tape: mixed reviews online depending on if it is a brass fitting and or already has a gasket/washer.

It's not going to hurt anything on the threads but isn't necessary.

I think it’s debris as it didn’t do it last time, and cold is doing it too. Brush inside the valve (where the hose connects to) ?

This makes sense. I overdo a lot of things. Some hurt my wallet and I learn. Some don't.

I never tape supply line threads...they have an o-ring/gasket inside. Most work here is Pex-A, and I've yet to see a leak from my installs using it.

Im getting frustrated here. Should I just grab some new valves? With this supply line coming in, what valves would you suggest? (Amazon or HD link preferred)

    NP.

Similar issue with our downstairs bath. Installed it when I built out gym for my wife. Only in our case the pre-fab cabinet has an overhang for the countertop. So I had to leave the baseboard in place and trim the quarter-round to get the spacing somewhat normal looking.

I know how to solder. I know how to troubleshoot with a DMM pretty damn well. I tinned my jumper wires and prepped joints before soldering, and the jumper looked pretty f'n sweet! I would've left it long but I trimmed too much sheath off my jumper wire so there was risk of contact/rub through on an adjacent PCB trace. So I ended up cutting the sheathed part of the jumper wire off, then bending the excess wire over and soldering. Looked like a big bag of ass, but the joint was solid, and I only need it to last another couple years, so ... it'll do :D

@T-Rex266 By the looks of your pictures, you have pex-A (Expansion), not pex-b (Crimp)

Good for hot/cold applications. I have them under our 5 sinks (10 valves) and 3 toilets...no issues. Do you have the expander tool?

Youre gonna need the valve....in 1/2in supply side (Pex-A side) and either 3/8 or 1/2in on the outlet, depending on what supply lines you have.
You'll need the pex expander (Manual or Milwaukee) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Apollo-PEX-a-Expansion-Tool-Tool-Only-EPXTOOL/302742798
    with 1/2in head https://www.homedepot.com/p/Apollo-1-2-in-PEX-a-Expander-Head-EPXHEAD12/302742294
    1/2in sleeves https://www.homedepot.com/p/Apollo-1-2-in-PEX-A-Expansion-Sleeve-Ring-25-Pack-EPXS1225PK/303882869

Cheaper to go compression style angle stop or like posted above, slip on sharkbite.
Need these sleeves if going with compression fitting https://www.homedepot.com/p/BrassCr...t-for-1-2-in-Nominal-PEX-Tube-TS-8X/205298167

honestly, just go to a plumbing supply house and ask for the insert sleeves and the angle stop. Doubt HD will have the insert sleeves.

I can loan/ship you the milwaukee tool and a couple sleeves if you can wait.
