You just keep taking it off and clicking it over one notch til it becomes centered. Mine needs one, maybe 2 more adjustments to be perfect.

Love the wheel besides the silly red stripe. I'm happy.

I referring to the red stripe not being in the center of the wheel.

Also saw this other brand wheel that has a thinner red stripe but still looks off centered.

I got a wheel alignment to get the steering wheel centered.

Don't force the old one off. Use a puller if it doesn't come off easily

Simple install. Few bumps from the back with my hands and a good swift jerk and the old one came off. See if it’s straight when I head out tonight.

Hey folks, stupid question but need guidance. When I go straight down the road the steering wheel must be at about the 11 o’clock position when I put the new steering wheel on. Which way do I need to adjust it, left or right? I’m frustrated and tired from the heat out here in TX and need to ask thx

Have the truck straight, so current steering wheel at 11 o'clock. Then you should just need to put the new one on straight. Right?

When you’re parking the truck to put the new wheel on, adjust your current wheel to how it drives down the road(at 11). Then when installing the new steering wheel, install it to the straitest position.

When I installed mine, I needed an alignment after to center the steering wheel. No big deal.

Also have another issue, now I have the LSD light on my dash and I am unable to disengage it with the button that's next to the Tow/Haul button. Did I simply just not plug a connector back in?

Weird. That shouldn’t have anything to do with your steering wheel.

That's what I thought as well. Guess I'll pry out the panel and try unplugging and reconnecting and see what happens.

So I installed the new steering wheel and now my auto headlight warning is on, the tow haul mode says it has an issue, the LDS system says it ain't working....I tried adjusting the clock spring by going all the way to the left then all the way to the right, counted 6.5 turns. When I go back 3.25 turns the clock spring isn't in the middle on the top, it is about at 10:00. Does it matter if I just put it at 12:00, it's only adding .25 to one of the directions. Would that cause all of the warning light issues? The horn works, the turn signals work, the auto lights come on/off....

My LSD light is still engaged and won’t turn off. Stopped by the local Toyota service dept and they want me to schedule and appt and said it’s be a couple days because they’re so busy. Def don’t want to do that unless I have to, anyone know how to disengage the LSD?

not sure why you’d want to even touch the clock spring and move it. I suggest a new one.

Have you pulled the wheel and checked connections? Do that first. I’ve got tech stream, if you’re in the Austin area, I can help.

Those that are having issues did you replace anything else like clock spring or air bag or controls? Or did the same ones go back on? If not, then there's literally no variables or reason to have issues... Maybe double check the connections and try disconnecting the battery for a few seconds and reconnect. Sometimes that can fix random shit lol who knows, maybe something needs to be reset.

The warning lights I have are
    1) Traction control
    2) Auto headlight system malfunction (headlights work fine)
    3) The miles left on a tank calculation is off. Usually says 406 at full tank, now say 618

I used to have a cruise control and a trail brake control warning light but those have seemed to go away.

All functions on the steering wheel are operational. I have an aftermarket Pioneer stereo system installed that has the steering wheel functions in it if that would make a difference.

Still don’t understand why you had to move your clock spring. Did it come off with the steering wheel? I’m going to assume the contacts inside are broken giving you the current issues.

I didn't have to, it just happened. No, it did not come off, it just moved to the bottom. Not knowing which way it went I moved it to the left, then to the right counting amount of turns. Then when I went back 1/2 way it wasn't in the middle. So I just put it in the middle and went on my way re-installing everything. Then when I turned on my ignition I had the warning lights.

I've purchased one which will be here next week. Hopefully this will solve it, I appreciate you helping me out.

Is it a quality brand one? Maybe double check your connections? Maybe plug the old one in and see if the issues go away?

So I replaced my clock spring and nothing changed.
    Warning lights/text in dash cluster:
    Lane departure
    Trailer brake
    Forward collision detection
    Headlamps
    Traction control

All of the steering wheel functions work, just as they did before I replaced the clock spring.

Can it be related to the ADAS system?

There’s a possibility something needs to be recalibrated
