Super easy! Get yourself one of those fluid extractors. There's a few good brands out there like MightyVac. I got this one by Four Uncles because it seems like you get more for less..
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0836GH3G7

Then I used this video as a guide as it seemed to be the better of a few that I watched...
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FOYgaNMeZc

Just make sure that the reservoir doesn't go empty while extracting.

Yesterday the truck got an oil change, and I got motivated. Finally swapped my Baja Designs Squadron Sport 2's for my new Diode Dynamics SS3 Max's. I should have done them earlier...

The old lights. The Baja ditch lights, stock LED fog's, TRD Pro LED Headlights, and my DD 40" bumper bar.

    The new sexy's...

And the improved lighting pattern. This also includes the upgrade from the OEM LED fogs to the SS3 Pro's in the fog pocket with their SAE fog pattern. I went with the combo beam on the ditch lights. Seriously should have done this sooner.

I drive to work between 3-4 AM, and I regularly get herds of elk and the occasional kamikaze deer, and I've found that it's easier to prevent hitting them by seeing them sooner than building the front of the truck to take the hit

That doesn't mean something like a RCI or Ironman front bumper isn't in the plans though lol

2021 Platinum 4x4. Has been a slow build process but got Bilstein 6112s up front on 1.9 inch setting to level it out and 5160s on the rear. Stock leafs and UCA

    285/70/18 Toyo Open Country AT3
    Method NV305 18x9 +25 offset

    Removed front mud flaps
    No rubbing or trimming needed.
Tire poke is just enough, see pic.
Very little road noise so far but certainly more compared to the stockers.

For tires, I considered NITTO Recon Grappler and Falken Wildpeak. Both the TOYO OC and NITTOs were lighter than the Falkens. All are great tires.

Finally found a good muffler shop to slap my cats on... Truck still sounds great but a lot less drone at 1600-1800 RPM. A lot quieter on startup too.

That's an old pump, can't remember last time I've seen one of those.

Most of the fleet cardlocks around here are still mechanical pumps…maybe that’s how they keep the price down? :notsure:
I pay the same price for ethanol-free 87 at this location as the 10% shit at the exit I take off the freeway, so I’ll take the short detour here.
She was a thirsty beast tonight though.

Now that you mention it, I have seen one fairly recently. Usually if I'm out and about at work and need gas in a State vehicle, I just hit whatever gas station is close. But, a while back I was picking up a vehicle at ADOT after maintenance and decided to fill up there. It was an old mechanical pump, so I guess you're right.

Ok so finally got rid of the chrome and silver trim. Now on to changing the fake wood trim and the peanut butter leather.

Its a Phoenix SC7862, just added a Tmobile sim so no need to use Hotspot.

Stock, with a few cosmetic mods.
Changed front and rear diff oil. Front got 2qts. of Lucas 75w-90 and rear got 4 of Mobil 1 75w-90. Would like to have used Mobil 1 throughout but I got the last 4 qts. I’ve heard good things about the Lucas so I’m not sweating it. Same price per qt. 19.99. Can’t wait to do the transfer case next, dropping that cat shield should blow. Truck has 41k but I’m not the original owner so I like a fresh start, although I’ve owned it for almost a year now. Didn’t add and limited slip fluid, is that ok?

You're good to go without the LSD fluid...mostly because, you really don't have a "limited slip"...unless it's aftermarket...

Knocked out Transfer Case and Transmission fluid changed today. Transfer Case fluid was basically new, but the transmission, let’s just say it was time.
    upload_2024-11-2_16-55-0.jpg
And I tried to do my front diff just to find out that the last guy stripped out the bolt. Going to pick up an extractor set and order a set of Lexus bolts.

After the obligatory drive around the neighborhood, I swear the drivetrain is just a little more responsive and efficient feeling. I’m sure it’s a placebo, but that’s fine with me

Installed Sony XAV-9500 ES from Trailgrid Pro. Super easy to do. It was all mounted and came pre wired. Did front camera but have not mounted it yet..still thinking that through.

Also installed 12volt solutions remote start. Super happy with both.

The one I got came out to $750 is with warranty and it's will worth it. I did have a little problem with my HVAC not working but it was a setting that Phoenix walked me through. There customer support was beyond my expectations. Supposedly they are around all the time. I called at 6EST and got a video call back at 7EST.

I also loaded a launcher which gives you endless customization. The best was the Tmobile sim card. Now I don't worry about Hotspot or wifi. Just Bluetooth for phone and the rest is internal.
