I thought there was one labeled camera or video, but it's been a while.

 

Many times. There are no missing connectors in that video, and they are all white. Mine are gray and black lol

 

I have 3 identical sized connectors on the Toyota headunit, gray/white/black, and this Phoenix harness only has room for two. Can someone ID what these 3 connectors do? Maybe one is not used.

That looks awesome, I did the same thing recently. Upgraded from the older 7.1 unit to this same SC7862.

How did you get it to change the vehicle picture to the pics of your truck? Whenever I try and hold my finger on the screen, I can go and select a picture of my truck, but it always keeps the default red suv picture on top of the picture I select, so it looks a mess.

Edit: Finally found the correct YouTube video from Phoenix, had to create a folder called 'portrait_carlogo' in the root directory to put any vehicle pics for them to work.

 

I just installed the Linkswell Gen 6 into my 2020 Tundra within the last 2 weeks, the black / grey connector was unused in my case and confirmed with Linkswell, I know different manufacturer name but basically the same unit. I'd also bne interesed to know if the parking sensors work on your new radio screen when in reverse. i.e. mine work in the dash, but not on the radio display with the reverse camera view.

Question for you all:

I believe I'm about to buy a used SC7862 for my 2020 Tundra. After install, are the factory USB ports and 12V charging port still accessible, or will my Android Auto be plugged into a hanging wire sticking out of the dash somewhere?

 

For those that ordered the Phoenix Head unit direct. How long did it take you to get the unit?

 

Does anyone have remote start installed in their truck and have the Tesla style radio? I'm curious if the Heating and Air conditioning works when you remote start the car, or if it doesn't come on until you get in the car and turn the key? I have a 2018 Platinum and the radio does not come on under a remote start, but the heating and air conditioning does, which is nice for warming up the truck on cold mornings.

 

A/C works when the truck is on since all electronics and engine are operational. It will temp control to whatever you last left it prior to shutting down.

This is according to my tesla unit and 2017 1794 CM

 

Just talked to my friend again. Does anyone have their stock head unit and want to sell? My buddy really does not like this but I’d need to fly to him and perform the swap to get it done so I’d like to have all the parts ready to go before I book.

 

Does the latest version not have android auto/carplay?

 

I know it's been a few months, but I have a stock HU from a 2017 with JBL system available. Not sure if that's what your buddy needs but let me know.
