I did it. It's on me. I just bought this truck and when I googled the fuel tank capacity of a Tundra it came back with 32.5. What I didn't see was the fine print that it is only on the Limited edition and above as an intentional disincentive for buying a lower end model. If I'd known that I would have had a serious look at the next level. Caveot Emptor. That said, I don't want to feel like a total idiot for buying a car with a range that is less than my neighbors EV.

Anyone know of a potential upgrade to the 32 gallon tank and what that involves? The Toyota dealer gave me a blank look and a cold shoulder.

Dang, I’m in the same boat. I was hoping to see an answer here. Searched and searched online so far I have not found one

Theres a post on REDDIT. A guy swapped out his fuel tank for a bigger one. Had to purchase an extra strap to hold the tank. Says it works but only with the fuel gauge. The miles to empty still reads as the smaller tank

Yeah, this sucks. I hate these 24 gallon tanks. I really thought i was getting the 32 gallon as well. Next time, i will have to pay more attention to this

Was this on a Sequoia? I can't find the reddit post to research. My understanding from talking with my dealer and crawling underneath a few Tundras and a Sequoia was that the 32 gallon tank will not fit with the rear end layout of the Sequoia. Although they are the same width, and the taller height/depth of the 32 gallon tank does nothing other than lower clearance, the Tundra has a 5" longer wheel base which allows the 32 gallon tank to be longer without contacting the rear axle. If you look at a Tundra with a 22 gallon tank, there is a noticeable gap behind it not present in the 32 gallon tank model. Some images from Victory Tundra skid. RCI Sequoia skid.

If we find that post, I will definitely copy them. I hate the low fuel capacity.

I just bought a 2024 Tundra from Carmax and the sheet said fuel capacity 32.2. When I gas up it said 310 miles. I knew then that it was not a 32.2 tank.
