Yeah, I haven’t heard of them getting more than 30-40k miles myself.

So my Addco sway bar didnt fit after adding the U Bolt flip kit, so i grabbed a First Gen Sequoia sway bar from the junkyard. That came way to close to the driver side shock and didnt really fit on the axle very well.

On a search to find a rear sway bar that fits, that doesnt cost what the Hellwig costs, I may have found one at the pick a part. A Chevy or GMC Yukon/Tahoe sway bar seems to fit pretty well.

The one i grabbed off this particular vehicle looked new, turns out its a Dorman aftermarket sway bar. Looking at reviews its solid and not hollow like the OEM chevy/GMC sway bars.

Heres a couple pics. Looks like it should work right? I just gotta get some endlinks that I might fabricate from my front sway bar links. I removed the front a couple years ago now.

Just don't forget we still need to upgrade you rear suspension to support all these mods.

We had the kevlar tires on my old work truck at the plant and never got flats. Once the plant cheaped out and started buying regular tires, we were constantly getting flats inside the plant.

Man I definitely feel like they are stiffer than stock but are so smooth. Great on the whoops but not nearly as jarring on small bumps compared to when I had kings (on my Tacoma). Curios to see what you think about the 6112s because I have read that they were stiff.

inspired me for a side shot of the truck lol

Curious, where's your exhaust dumping. Your tires also look smaller than I remember, did you change your rubber up? Not that size matters, but ...

Same size tires, 285/70/17. I have been debating of whether or not to jump up to 285/75…but I think you just confirmed I need to lol

I cut my exhaust in almost the exact same spot. Definitely hides it and gets it out of the way from hanging so low

Made some end links for my sway bar from my old front ones. Coming along, should hopefully fit it up when the U bolts come in the mail tomorrow.

Meanwhile @assassin10000 sent me a great list he compiled of end links he found that are around the length needed. Thanks man! I may have to use one of those if these end up not working out in the long run.

Ill probably get some new bushings eventually if these end up working. Also gonna weld the ends of the tubing today for extra strength

But heres what I came up with:

    Few reasons:
    • Guaranteed authentic product if bought direct
    • "Real" company with genuine product support and warranty
    • Actual, real customer support, likely regional and on our normal hours, not the overnight-chat-from-China support you typically get from scAmazon knockoffs
    • Very strong chance of higher-quality product that's actually been tested and/or met some quality control and/or production standards
    • Easier product replacement if there is a problem/failure
    • They aren't going to disappear in 3-6 months as many of the knockoff-sellers on scAmazon do, once product failures start rolling in or their rating drops below 4 stars
    • Risk of collateral damage from buying an inferior and/or faulty product is lessened, and you may actually have chance to reclaim damages from a US-based company if anything came up
    • Maybe most importantly: BY BUYING FROM THEM YOU ARE SUPPORTING AN AMERICAN COMPANY AND AMERICAN WORKERS (Company is US-based, and all their products are designed and tested in the USA)
Sorry, I'm a bit of a nationalist at the end of the day. It pisses me off how willing people are to settle for lower prices and quality, and send their dollars outside of our borders. It's essentially what killed US manufacturing.

While I'm not stoked these guys are undoubtedly using (likely) the same mainland China warehouse for their product as the knockoff sellers on scAmazon, who may very well be selling the 'seconds' which don't pass muster for Master Tailgaters, it's a give and take.

I wish you could trust buying directly on scAmazon, but unless the 'FULFILLED BY' info on your purchase is "Master Tailgaters", and the item is drop-shipped direct from Master Tailgaters, you may be getting fake product.

Even if you buy it on scAmazon at "Master Tailgaters Store" -- scAmazon's system will automatically give you the lowest price seller, even when adding to cart on the manufacturer's store front. You have no legitimate guarantee against getting knockoff product when ordering on scAmazon. They can pull from any bin, in any warehouse they choose, and you have no guarantee over who put what product in what bin, nor where the truck carrying that bin got their product from. This is where a lot of grey market and knockoff items get pawned off by organized crime.

Bushing-wise, production looks to have changed in mid-2003.

A random 2001 I looked up shows the bushing p/n as 90948-01072 with an alternate p/n of 90540-A0001.
My 2006 shows the bushing part number as 48817-0C010.

I keep mulling over buying one. While I don't dislike my current camera setup, and it does make it easier to attach a trailer, after my recent happiness with how the paint turned out on my sports grille, I'm strongly considering buying a Master Tailgaters handle and finagling a quick-disconnect together to make tailgate removal easier. I wanted to check out the newer Tundras to see how the disconnect is handled. I've never owned a truck new enough to have a tailgate camera, and I actually do take my tailgate off a few times per year to load/unload/clean/etc.

NP, just remember you'll need 4 total. Oddly yours are only ~$5/ea, but the ones for my 2006 are like $15. Wonder if mine come in pairs or something. Super weird.

IMG_3897.jpg IMG_3898.jpg Rain finally stopped after a few days of constant rain. Took the opportunity to do a wash and detail wax on the Tundra and installed a wireless backup camera. Initial reaction to the backup camera is very positive. While I love my cap - can be a little awkward to backup in busy parking lots. The backup camera should be a big help.

This pic was taken after the trucks last adventure. The very adventure that brought me the bill today... It's steep, but it's doable. It must be/will be done in order to begin the next adventure next month.
