The forward portion of both inner fender liners was hanging loose. Used a zip tie to pull them back against the brackets behind them. Rubbing resolved.

Got dirty deeds 12 hole injectors and tried to install them. was easy enough to get to the fuel rails and I cleaned the seats but once I went to turn on the truck they were spraying all over. Any idea what I did wrong? I'm going to tear everything down and redo it again tomorrow during daylight.

Did you soak them in gas before you installed? Supposedly the seals on the tips need some lube, the gas helps them slide in nice and easy

I did not soak them in gas because they seemed to slide around pretty good as they came. I just got them yesterday and DD states that they are pre prepared but soaking them is on the list for the reinstall tomorrow. Some of them aren't spitting like this but about 4/8 are.

    That's what I do ^^

I have a favorites folder in Chrome with truck stuff and save the hotlink to the reply there and title it something worthwhile.

Still sitting on my floor in the garage. I'll get to it. Life's been a little overloaded lately. Doing a ton of stuff to the house at the moment.

Thought about getting the paint pen for the letters, but the letters on these are quite large. Not sure I would like it

Thanks for the info and video. I was going to remove and inspect under there since I just bought the truck. I will definitely polish and wax under there.

Forgot. The bedliner is a Toyota liner.

I've used tune up grease on the seals when I've replaced a fuel injector. Always use some sort of lube on rubber seals before installation...always. Oh, and antiseize on bolts, especially bolts underneath the vehicle.

    Interesting…

    1. Install 12 hole injectors
    2. Let engine catch on fire burning truck to ground :bananadead:
    3. Collect insurance money
    4. Buy new truck :bananadance:

Seems like a solid plan to me.

There are those fat o-rings and the smaller ones that go into the fuel rail. I confirmed with old injectors all of their parts are still with them!

Took out the whole fuel rail, cleaned the shit out of the o-ring seats, lubed and reseated making sure to do it as well as possible, reinstalled everything very carefully and the same problem is still happening. I also inspected the o-rings to see if I damaged anything on the first go round and everything looks good, no cracks / damage to the integrity of the rubber.

On a brighter note.... kings and jba UCA's are in!

in my experience the paint pens suck! The rubber stickers are way better, but pricey if I remember correctly. Also they discolor extremely easily.

Replaced rear diff and t-case fluid, engine oil change. Made sure rear diff breather was clear. Got stymied by the front diff drain plug, but in a rare show of restraint, I stopped what I was doing before completely destroying the hex plug. Before I get out cold chisels and hammers, I should make sure I have a replacement on hand...I ordered the Lexus part to avoid this the next time. The fill plug cracked open no problem, but not the drain.

Sometimes hard to trust Carfax. It reports what the auto shop reports, and a couple times now I've found they haven't reported everything, or used terms that were unclear. Carfax says the last time my front diff and t-case fluids were replaced was around 92,000 miles, but the fluid that came out of the t-case looked brand new. Still want to get to the front before long, just so I know for sure when everything was last replaced.

Now I just need to do a few cycles of drain/fill on the transmission, and I'll be all caught up on most maintenance items. Need to inspect the brakes before long, but otherwise I think I'm up to date on more or less everything.

Hopefully you can get your injector issues figured out soon, because I need to know how those kings ride. I've been highly considering them for a while but been scared to bite the bullet. That's a big chunk of change to spend for "it'll probably ride better".

Hopefully Shifty gets the time to install his Bilstein 6112s soon. Been thinking about either King 2.5s or 6112s for a while now.

I had kings on my tacoma and I rode that thing HARD. I went total chaos uca and king 2.5. the total chaos got squeaky but the kings were good for taking me anywhere I wanted to go however fast I wanted to get there. I think for the majority of people bilsteins would probably suffice. Think about it, king is a racing brand....

Yeah, I've talked to some people who say that their Kings have rode really rough, and others who say that they're super smooth. What springs do you have, the 650s or 700s? My thought is that with the 650lb springs and a low height setting, it would ride better than my Bilstein 4600s do.

My interest in the Kings is mostly due to the fact that they're progressively tuned. I really want a progressive shock, and the Kings seem to be the cheapest ones. Pretty much everything for our trucks is DIgressively tuned until you get to Kings/Foxes/ADS/etc.

Every time I’ve ever replaced my transfer case and front diff fluids, they’ve always looked brand new. Even at over 100k miles.

Same here. I changed my Tcase and front diff fluid for the truck's first time at 200k. I almost didn't change them after seeing how clean they were.

Iv seen guys running kings with a bypass on their 1gen in the front end. But I haven’t been able to find a model number for them.
