    Pretty things
Sequoia has a different rear end setup since it's independent suspension.

...I'm sure someone here has looked into it.?

I know this is an old thread that seems to be brought to life a few times. But while researching this mod and reading this entire thread I located this video which I found interesting and explains why this MOD is so important. So it seems if you get the breather vs the one way valve the chances of the valve getting clogged and causing other leaks is reduced.

    Too many, but not enough....
The correct 2 way breather, or a little open cone filter hidden behind your tail lights are both acceptable.

@MadMaxCanon so these one way vavles would work as well? I think it would but just making sure.

I was thinking of putting this in line so the air goes out but not come back in.

I'm not familiar with those but you want a 2 way valve for sure. You want the breather PN that is in the engine bay.

This is what I used along with the union that goes with it for the diff connection.

The first instruction for this mod is missing - wash the bottom of the truck to keep dirt from failing in your eyes.

Stock, with a few cosmetic mods.
@MadMaxCanon good morning. I just did this mod a week or two ago. I used the oem valve that I relocated from the axle to just above my d/s tail light via about 9ft. of hose. That valve is one way, lets pressurized air out, but doesn’t allow ambient air in. Seems you’re saying it’s better to have open airflow in both directions?

The difference is probably minor, I'd have to concede that the way toyota designed it is fine, but I can't see why 2 way wouldn't be better. The way stock is, I can understand why it's one way, you don't want water getting sucked in when it's raining or if you are submerged. But when you extend the line to somewhere without any danger of ingress there are no negatives, except for cost if you are toyota.

That makes good sense actually. Maybe even a shitty old time paper fuel filter would do it.

Yeah it would, pretty sure there's some pics in this thread of people using it.

Just stripped out the whole fitting, AND the axle housing hole. Seemingly correct thread size is:

    1/8-28 BSPT Threads

M10x1.0 only threads half way down, and 1/8 NPT is close but not right.
