Old thread I know but I just ordered one of the Pro Street 6000 SS based on this video. Love the sound out of this.

Thank you. It's nice and quiet until you stomp the go pedal, which is what I wanted. Before I put the Borla resonator on it to go with the Borla muffler it sounded like a Coyote Mustang.

 

What did it put down?

Yup. My header/exhaust combo is a restriction even at this point. But I built it for low-end torque, and low-end torque is what I have plenty of.

If/when I supercharge I'll swap in the DD headers.

Funny thing about you mentioning LT1. I tell people it has as much power as a Corvette. I just don't mention which year 'vette.

Well my buddies - i think 94 Z28 with intake lid/full exhaust made 266whp and 305tq . Which was a lot of fun on saggy old suspension. Lol. Congrats on the good numbers. Looks like they def refined the vvti timing tables. Im not used to automatic veh dynographs. Nice lump of tq gained for sure!

Have you done a 0-60mph?
I use an app called Track Addict. My best time so far has been 6.1 seconds.
IIRC OEM 0-60 is like 7.4 seconds.
I'll run another one once I get my new gears, shift kit, and tuned ECU installed.

 

Haven't done that yet, no. I've got the Torque Pro app which can measure different benchmarks. May try to find someplace flat to try it.

Anyone got a clip of cruising speeds with the muffler removed but still having the cats and resonator ?

When I get the headers put on I'm running open headers all the way to the exhaust shop.

 

I think you should run them long tube headers into 3in pipes over the rear axle and dumped. No nonsense like cats and mufflers and resonators.
True duals, no crossover.

 

Headers into an x-pipe, to 2 mufflers rotated 90° to fit where the stock one is and dumped before the axle. No cats, no resonators.

 

I'd go over the axle, but you do you.
I might have to reroute my tail pipes or dump before the axle to accommodate the shock relocation. I told 4LoFab to call me to discuss it, if it's an issue.

 

I've seen the X-pipe on quite a few videos/YT channels I watch, never knew the benefits or reasons for it.... until right now.

 

Donut has headers, "cats", an x-pipe, mustang mufflers, and resonators right before the exit. Sounds good.

The O2s are up in the collectors. You can juuuuust see it on the drivers side. Funny thing is, They're Bosch wide bands for a VW Tiguan.

 

I don't have a clip, but it's rowdy. I ran a turn down on mine after the cab with no muffler. Sounded Nascar.

Flowmaster FlowFX 2.5” welded into stock piping. Sounds completely stock at startup, under load it has a nice throaty Flowmaster sound without being obnoxious. I’ll get a drive by video in a few days and post it.
