Not sure what it is to be honest. Whenever I picked up my truck a few weeks ago they detailed it and filled it up with gas before I left and these fingerprints were left behind. By the time I noticed I was back home nearly 100 miles away.

You can try IPA, or just a quick polish that I bet would take it off, whatever it is.

What is the easiest way to get dirt/oil/grease/road grime from the bottom of a vehicle and all the driving components (knuckles, tie rod ends, etc.)?

Spoiler alert, it is on my golf cart I am getting ready to sell. I crawled under it and from over 10 years of driving it every day playing golf it is filthy! I figured it is going to be a mess so driving on top of a tarp should be step one. The inside of the wheels are nasty as well but not as bad as the rear end.

This could help if you are able to pressure wash it. Not sure how it looks but I'd assume everything underneath is waterproof.

I live in a retirement community and have no place I can pressure wash oil and greasy/grim without a heavy fine.

I planned on using rags/paper towels to remove all the heavy stuff by hand to start and the tarp would catch all the grime I am going to have. Not sure how to get the rest sparking clean though

Id hit it with a foaming degreaser, agitate and pressure rise. For the stuff you cant reach, do your best and rinse it off with something like the thing posted above. One way to cheat, is to use an under carriage spray. That stuff makes old dirt/mud stains disappear and gives the components a nice shine. Bare Bones from chem guys would be an easy/cheap/throwaway option.

Wheels would have to come off to properly clean....specially if aluminum.

I don’t have a trailer to haul that thing in and no car wash within driving distance. You can only drive them on roads with 35 mph or less and no car wash is on streets with that low limits. Sucks

Tray an APC....but dilute it...start with 10:1 and see how it does. A little work with a detail brush and those edges should clean right out

Thinking about picking up some Scholl's S20, but not sure which pad to pair with it. I'm stuck between the navy one-step and the yellow finishing pads. Most of my correction needs are just swirls (and some paint overspray). My fear is the yellow isn't enough correction, but that the navy is too aggressive.

Getting a little dusty under the hood. What would be the best/safest way to clean the engine bay? On the 14 I've simply rinsed it off with low pressure water w/o any issue. Any concern doing this with the 3rd gens?

Personally, I would just cover anything with electrical and then very light rinse and spray some degreaser, light brush scrub, light rinse, dry
