I have the new G13 Model HA2220H2

 

its in the system settings can't remember the exact tab, but same place you go into to change the microphone settings but a couple tabs to the left

 

I ended up doing the same. Sent back my Amazon order and saved some money. Not what I wanted to do but, oh well.

 

Are these the parts to you bought to use factory GPS antenna?

Hey my Dasaita 10.2 Android HU will continuously scan while using the radio and I'm scratching my head as to why.I'm sure it's operator error

Been reading through the 83 pages of this thread and am now super confused and have a headache lol.

Was wondering if anybody could get me the down and dirty of what I need to install this headunit https://www.dasaita.com/products/da...ad-unit-optical-output?variant=45764601807066 in my 2014 non-jbl crewmax

I would like to reuse the factory antenas and usb slots and retain the option of having sirius. If possible I'd also like to have the ability to view tpms, engine & trans temp, etc.

Also, would you recommend ordering directly from Dasaita or piecing everything together from Amazon.

I have that exact unit in my 2016 Non-JBL. Maybe i can help or make matters worse. lol

The factory antenna will be retained as there is a plug-in for it in the new HU.
The GPS antenna - there are several posts within the group that show the items purchased to retain the GPS antenna. I however experienced intermitten connections using the factory gps antenna so i just ran the dasaita antenna and all is well.

The usb slot under the HVAC control is retained. The dasaita has connections for that as well.

The tpms and the trans temps are a toss up.

You can download the Torque app to the Dasaita and using the ELM327 OBD2 adapter you might be able to see the temps, i honestly dont know becase I dont use it..

I might be wrong, the 2014 SR5 doesnt display TPMS on the dash does it? If not, i believe you will need an add on using a USB connection. (dasaita has that add-on, but Amazon probably has it as well and cheaper)

There are two places on the Dasaita that report TPMS and neither of
which would work for me, even though Dasaita says it should.

Sirius XM - not aware of an add on for the Dasaita, unless you already have found one or asked Dasaita

From what ive read, you can downlad the Sirius app onto the head unit and run it from there.

Be prepared to have all tech support from Dasaita come at least a day after you ask. They are in China!

I went with this one, plug and play. Just make sure to get the harness that matches the year and it all just plugs in. You can then get a bluetooth/wifi OBD dongle and use whatever monitoring app you want. I happen to use Car Scanner Pro.

I appreciate the info. How long have you had that unit your truck? Any issues or buyers remorse?

You would be correct in saying that the '14 SR5 doesn't display tire pressure and it's not a deal breaker, just thought it would be a cool feature

Had it since July.
Had issues with the fade function not working but after several updates from Dasaita it seems to be ok now.
I initially had buyers remorse but now that it's all seems to be working correctly I'm ok with it.

 

I have the same unit in my 2020 SR5 and all is good.You will need to purchase a SIM card to use the apps thru the head unit which I still haven't done.I use Android Auto most of the time anyway.You will need to adjust sound levels and play with the equalizer for better sound.

Couple of quick questions before I attempt the install...
What the heck is the canbus? Is that for steering wheel control? If so does it tell you where to use it and it is included right?
I have a non JBL no amp 2020 SR5
External mic or not? I have read mixed reviews!

Link didn't show description so just wanted to show which unit I bought.

 

Canbus is for the Carplay with iPhone that plugs into the unit.I plugged up the external mic but I'm going to go back in and remove it because I get a lot of feedback thru the unit when talking on the phone

 

The canbus is needed to utilize the steering wheel controls and it will plug into the small connector on the provided harness.
You will/should get tow bags clearly labeled with the harness id. Make sure to use the correct harness. The canbus box is use
by both harness's, so you will only get a singel canbus box. See the attached pic.




Look under your front passenger seat, you should see a black plastic box/cover - that is the amplifier.


The mic seems to be a mix of good and bad reviews. My wife can here me good if im parked, but once i start driving, the sound is lower, i think due to
external road sounds. but there is supposed to be a fix the require additinal hardware. I will try and find that info.

It shows for an Android 12 but it looks like it will work on a 13 hopefully

 

Good catch - i did not pay atention to that description. I did see on the Dasaita facebook page that others are suing the same method
to get a good call quality. Will need to ask Dasaita if this is also for A13 units

 

!!! Wait on ordering that microphone and adapter. There is a note on the dasaita website regarding G12 units

I just sent Dasaita an emial to their support person ive been interacting with.
Probably wont get an answer till tomorrow morning.

 

Just heard back from someone else who has the G13 head unit and has purchased the dasaita adapter cable and that enfig microphone.

He stated it works just fine. Still waiting on a response from Dasaita Support.
