I have a 2003 Tundra RWD and I want to put a lift on it. Currently looking at the 2.5 inch rough country lifts. When I add my vehicle, and the select lifts it says that I cant use the lift kit that comes with the n3 struts because that is only for the 4WD models. Is it possible to put that lift kit on there?

Stupid shit you don't want to do to a 1st Gen...
    • Don't be tempted by cheap lifts. Brands like Rancho, Rough Country (not to be confused w/Tuff Country) triggered threads by people who had issues with and/or damaged their truck using those brands. It's not worth the 10%-30% savings, considering you'll pay more than that on consequences.
More on that point here. Read it all but pay close attention to the 6th paragraph down for your question.

You don't really want Rough Country, do you? Garbage. This is my opinion and I think you'll find many who agree with me. Also, you should read this: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/
Specifically the Suspension, Wheels, and Tires paragraph.

Before you buy anything, read the "Suspension, wheel and tires ..." section of this thread so you understand all the ways you can fuck your shit up first: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Rough Country makes shit, low-budget products that will damage your truck. Sometimes, with things like spacers, it doesn't matter. Other times, like with this guy who installed a Rough Country kit, you do irreversible damage to your truck, and end up needing to spend a grand or two fixing what it bent/broke. That guy's spindles and who knows what all else was bent up.

My girl had Rough County on her Jeep JK and I thought the ride quality on Jeeps were just awful. Installed Bilstein 5100 on them and it was a night and day difference, makes the horrible Jeep driving experience actually bearable :D

What brand would you recommend for a lift kit?

It's in that thread two people have linked for you now. Read up, should have everything you need.

We all helped to toss together that thread for guys just like you, who are looking to mod and maintain their truck the right way.

For a straight lift, most people will push you toward Bilstein for OEM-like ride, else Eibach or Old Man Emu or Dobinson's.

Let us know what questions you've got after you read that thread.
