    Hey there,

I'm looking at a '03 tundra with the 4.7l v8 and 317k on the clock. Has had a bit of a hard life, but seemed well maintained. Has had breaks replace, ball joint, rear right wheel bearing, has new suspension and airbags, has a winch and comes with a camper.

I'm also looking at a '12 tundra with the 5.7l v8 167k on the clock. Has had an easier life also well maintained. Pretty stock, has had a new transmission, new brakes a few years back

They both have a similar level of rust. My question is which would you go for? I plan to put a camper on the back and my worry with the '03 is that it won't be powerful enough to get up some FSR roads fully loaded. Obviously the 4.7l v8 is well known for being reliable workhorse, and seemingly has less 'common problems'

Would be great to get some thoughts on this.

So I saw this weird car on ebay. I thought it looked cool so I bought it. Price was a little high compared to other crown vics but it seems pretty nice. Just a nice comfy daily driver. Headed up to CO Springs on Friday to get it.

Question for anyone that's pulled their radiator.

I need to gain access to the OEM harness tucked under the radiator support, just above the radiator. Is there an easy, no-brainer way to tilt the radiator forward to gain reasonable access to work on that harness?

I see four fasteners on the verticals left & right of the horns, and two angled clips that help guide the radiator into place. I see I've got about 2" space before the rad fins touch the fan. I don't think I need a ton of space, just enough to run a 4awg sheathed wire across cleanly, and out of heat's way.

I've removed my rad twice. and everytime the fan has to come out for any room to work due to how the shroud takes up every last bit of space and has to come out in one fucking piece

I would pull the shroud to the fan to better see how much room you have before the fins hit the fan. But if you remove those four bolts and guide it out of the clips, you should be able to move the radiator towards the fan and get enough clearance. May require some creativity or a second set of hands.

The fan shroud has two clips on it.

I've got a sheet of plastic I was going to slap on the fins.

I noticed there's a couple of lower clips along with the ones you show @des2mtn

I'll hafta mess with it tomorrow or day after.

I can't remember if I had enough room to take out the circular part of the shroud, or if I just hung it over the fan until the radiator was out. But I'm sure you'll have enough room if you hang it on the fan.

I think you are on the right track here. Pull the top two bolts after removing the shroud and I bet you can tilt it rearward a few inches.

I have a sticky throttle cable on my 98 Camry. What's some good lube to keep it sliding?

It's the rubber nipple that sticks.

ooooooF. I don't like the state of the wheel spacers that came with my newest set of wheels. I'm not a spacer hater by any means, but cant let myself go with some cheapies.

    This price hurts though
