I did a little something over the weekend. Not sure @shifty` will approve since the outside trim isn’t color matched ;) but I’m trying it out for now. I will have to figure out the bottom chrome piece along with the trim of the grill.

Would have been nice to see this like 2 hours ago BEFORE i muscled the drums off lol. I didnt break anything tho, like when i did my 98 corolla rear brakes earlier this year.

I used those holes, my harbor freight bolt snapped off in the threads right after the rust broke free thank goodness. The drums had just enough life that they didnt catch the shoes (like my corolla; bent pistons on the brake cylinders shoe retainer clips went flying, adjusters and parking brake hardware all bent) I was able to hammer and pry the rest of the way. I always presoak with pb blaster the night before and wire wheel or steel toothbrush as much as i can around the hub and in each lug hole. The drums cracked around the bolt holes so theyre getting replaced anyway with coated ones.

Going to do a full thread on it later.

OV Tune base high octane map w/shift points, Stan's Tri-Y headers (1-5/8" primaries), custom Borla 2.5" header back exhaust single exit, Dirty Deeds 12 hole injectors, AEM dry-flow drop in air filter (only using it because I got it for free).

So to be clear, the tune made these gains over your last dyno with all power mods minus tune? Stock vs tuned numbers would be dope too.

Yup. Numbers posted were above already modded truck. Here's the breakdown:

    Stock: 248hp/278tq
    20211019_161124.jpg
    Headers, exhaust, injectors: 252hp/284tq
    20211208_162811.jpg
All previous mods + OV Tune: 259hp/310tq
    20240722_100301.jpg

Those peak numbers may not seem impressive but all mods combined I gained nearly 70tq over stock at around 3,000 RPM.

I didn't realize until I left they didn't print an overlay of today vs previous run.

I got this one from Taco Vinyl. They had the best price and are only 2 hours from here so I went through them.

I think having the bumper unibrow blacked out actually pulls it all together. Only reason I like the outer paint-matched is b/c it gives it that "OEM+" look, like it came from the factory that way.

I'm just giving you a hard time.
I held off on getting it because I knew it would be a while before I could color-match it, but the old one looked so bad I couldn't stand it. The guy put metal snaps on it for some reason. I totally agree and would prefer the OEM look. I can't decide what to do about the bumper trim piece though. Might look for color matched wrap.

I need a new pcv hose. Is there anything wrong with using generic vacuum hose? The price on a hose from a dealer website is outrageous.

There shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure it's a stiff or reenforced wall hose

Maybe? I just bought 'em from Toyota. They came custom-formed, and insulated with the appropriate foam, pre-bent to avoid kinks. ~$20 ea, and that wasn't during a sale. #1 is driver side. #2 is passenger side. Current pricing for local pickup from a nearby dealer is actually 10% cheaper than these prices I got from LaGrange ...

@shifty` - can you post a pic of that vent hose #2. The part # is close to the discontinued one for my 2000 and I wonder if I can make it fit. Thanks friend.

I just ordered one for myself. Is it pricey? Yeah, but the original one has managed to damn near last this long why not. At 23 bucks I'll just toss it in with the rest of the order.
