So I recently installed 1.5” spacers from Coyote on my 2024 1794. I opted to do this because I like the stock rims, but wanted a more aggressive stance.

here’s my problem. After installing, the lug nuts provided (bulge scorn style) don’t sit all the way into the bolt. After taking measurements. There’s approx 0.2” of thread inside the lug nut exposed, and about 0.64” of thread is purchased by the nut. This is after torquing down to 95ft lbs and using red loctite. The install instructions state a minimum purchase of 9/16 of thread (about 0.55”), which I’ve passed. They also mention the bolt should be flush with the end of the nut (which they are not).

Here’s the weird thing. I’ve checked with companies like spidertrax, and they seem to supply non-bulge style bolts, which are approx. 0.2” shorter than the bulge style.

that 0.2” difference would coincide with both install requirements.

Do you think having the extra thread exposed, considering it’s a longer bolt, is unsafe? Nothing protrudes past the spacer, and it is both hub centric and lug centric. And measurement wise, I do meet all the install requirements.

just wondering if others have come across this?

If the 24s are like the previous gen’s, 2” is the minimum size spacer you can install without having to shave down the studs.

this. I almost feel, from the instructions, and what other brands have supplied, I got longer lugs nuts than called for or referenced in the instructions.

I’m concerned because while going from measurements, I meet all requirements, the lug nuts seem longer than needed. If the nuts were the normal acorn, wouldn’t matter if the bolt was longer (for thread purchase at least). So I’m wondering if I’m overthinking this.

Negative. I had 1-1/2" spacers on my '14. There was no need to shave any studs. Also I believe stock wheels have a hollow spot in between each hole.

Correct. At least the stock 20” on the 1794 has very large hollow spots between each lug hole.
