Are these wheel studs too short?

The only ones I can find are 2” long. I’ll have to take the wheels off to see but I’m sure I have 2” ones so I’ll need extended ones?

I thought so too but the only ones I can find are 2” long and that doesn’t seem that long.

Take one off and look. ET lugs have an extended bore to reach into the wheel lug hole and grab onto more threads. Pic for reference, conical seat on the left, ET on the right. That extra skinny portion sticking up is the extended thread engagement area.

What length are standard studs? I’m looking for some longer ones so I get more threads but am having no luck.

This is what I found. Is 45mm stock? That’s not even 2”.

I switched over to these with new lugs as well. 2.5 inches long - Dorman 9/16-18 studs with .65 knurl- P/N 610-471.
Gorilla 2 inch black chrome wheel lugs - 26195BC - kit is a 32 piece set.

These are OEM Ram studs but they worked great on my 2014 Tundra. Don't know if they would work on a 2007-2013. You will have to get a different size lug wrench to put in the truck.

Extended lug nuts, not extended studs. They have the deep shank on them to engage more threads. I would still get longer studs as you have very little engagement with the current setup.

yeah I’m going to get some ram 1500 extended ones that will fit and are 2.5” long. I just have to get different lug nuts but they don’t have et style lug nuts in 9/16”x18

    Too many mods to come

Those won’t work arp doesn’t make a set that fits the tundra. Blackhawk Japan has some or some have used the eBay units and worked well. Search function has a ton of info this. We run the Blackhawk japans and work well in our extreme use case.

looks like I’ll be buying those ones from Japan then. Thanks for those measurements. Really helps me see how much longer they are. That’s what I need. Thanks again!

But the space at the end of my lug nuts look to be the same all the way around so that would mean the same amount of thread is in the lug nut. I’ll have to check that out. Thanks!

I’ll be doing the rear too because there is the same engagement on the rear as the front.
