If you want to retain more of the functionality of your sway bar. You can have the end links extended. Here is a my swaybar after being extended for a 7" lift. I decided to have my TRD sway bar powder coated to match my wheels. It used to be red. IMG_4524.jpgIMG_4527.jpg

Why is the bar so high? All others I've seen are lower?

He flipped the mounts. The sway bar is supposed to be mounted below the rear diff.

I thought it was mounted wrong... I might not make Tundra meet in S.A. thought our group would be close to S.A. but were coming back to Big Spring Tx be too far

I've never seen anyone mount it reversed. Don't know if it's wrong or not effective. Typically the bar is mounted below.
Hopefully you can make it to Random for a beer at least. Haha

Stock length sway bar with the lift. Truck handles better than it did stock w/out the lift and sway bar. Rear end of the truck hasn't slid out unintentionally yet with the current setup.

Yeah I'm not sure if it's wrong but typically it's mounted below is all I'm saying. I'm sure it helps having it though.

It's not mounted the way the instructions say to, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. The way it's mounted doesn't make a difference in handling or effectiveness. @jberry813 explained it perfectly in another thread.

IIRC, all the links act as is a lever, the bar itself, however attached, is fastened to the Axel. Since the axel doesn't move, but the attach points on the links (levers) do, it makes sense that unless you modify the links, the effectiveness of the bar doesn't change either way.

I spoke with him. He said they are developing a new adjustable drop bracket for the rear. He said it will be adjustable from 1 to 5” and you can preload the bar or set it at 0 preload. Saying time frame is a month or so. I think I’ll wait and buy it when I can. I’ll report back...

So I was looking at adding a sway bar to my truck and will be adding 2" of lift at same time. From what I am seeing here: the stock TRD sway bar will work with my 2" of lift without need for additional parts? Please let me know if I am thinking correctly.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
He can also have a way of mounting a diff skid plate with this conf of mounting.
The anti sway bar still works the same. it might be close to spare tire mounted area, and If a Bam exhaust with HolmHertz resonator wouldn’t work with it either. Unless mounted closer to mufflers
It’ll never get caught on any rocks.
    Lol.

I used a balljoint press and impact to push the bushings out of the leaf springs....if you are replacing them.
