Looks awesome. I need to add the tire carrier to mine already. Also, love the license plate . I thought about putting a hybrid/prius decal on mine and see how many people I piss off

Has anyone added fender flares with this rear bumper? Trying to see what it looks like.

@Jonnynewton909 has flares on his. The flares are a bit wider than the bumper though.

I have bushwacker flares that are about 2" wide and they do hang out but I don't notice them. I originally thought about adding plate to the bumper to match the contour of the flares, but once I got the bumper on there you really don't notice it looking down at the flare.
    Screenshot_20240503_213313_Gallery.jpg

This angle makes the overhang noticeable but unless you're looking up from below it's never that noticeable. This is again with the 2" wide flares. Stock and some options aren't this wide.

What bed cage is that? And does water get in the bed with it installed that way?

Bump for towing update. Had the chance to tow our wake boat with the new bumper setup - boat and trailer are around 6,500-7,000 and took it from storage about 40 miles down winding dirt road then later 125 miles home. First try I had the hitch adjusted too low and it gave more bounce than I like. Moved the ball up an inch and it tows just as good as it did before the adding the bumper. Time for a 5.29 re-gear but that’s a separate issue.

Awesome! I have three trips planned for the end of June and July to tow our 30' travel trailer. I knew this bumper can handle towing.

BillieBars - I get some water through the seal of the tonneau cover, but it would be easy to remedy with a better/ additional seal. It’s a cheap Amazon tonneau cover so a better seal should probably be added regardless.

You gonna throw a powertrax or locker in it when you regear?

I’m considering it as well. I just use these big heavy LTs too much to go back to stock size SLs.

I’ve been very happy with my 5.29s and Eatons f/r.

haven’t had much time to abuse them (15k miles) but they’ve been off-road several times.

Tis the season in NY for hitch accessories. I can’t remember if I saw someone with an accessory hitch added to their swing out or not. I don’t think it would be a problem for Travis to add.. but dangit, I wish I did! I may look into trying to find someone to add one on. I have to add a hitch extension to clear the tire but then the swing out doesn’t clear the rack to be able to drop the tailgate. Would be killer for the rack to be attached to the swing out. Just throwing this out there for an option to consider when purchasing.

@STravis added a hitch to his. Im sure a local welder can easily add one.

We've actually been taking a different approach recently and extending the tube on the passenger side to center up the receiver.

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread yet, but what is the weight of the rear bumper with dual swing outs, hitch and side guards?

Be thankful, the LED BSM taillights from Ford are $1100 each and I had to wait 6 months for one of them. I’ve managed to break both of them on separate occasions! And the BSM module doesn’t even come with the light for that price. You have to swap them!

The bumper is ~ 150 lbs, each swingout is ~ 45 lbs, the bedside protection adds about 35-40 lbs

Towed our trailer today. Went 150 miles over white pass. Transmission temps stayed under 200* except over the pass. With stock gears and 37s truck handled it with ease.

Also, quick question from @Trdwillie14 , he needs a measurement to see how far the spare tire hangs off the back of the truck. If somebody can get a measurement off of the tailgate to the furthest point on the spare mounted on the swingout.

Also tire width and offset would be good info as well.

A small garage made my swing out decision for me as well.
