DO you have a push button smart key start?

I had asked you about the LED lights inside the truck. Did you try disabling them? I believe that it's probably and communication problem between the fob and truck and LEDs can cause issues. Also does this issue happen at certain locations? Do you have more than one fob in close proximity to the Tundra's fob?

The lights inside are leds that were factory/port installed. The switch is off almost 100% of the time. It happens everywhere, and no other FOBs nearby. I have tried both fobs, and replaced the batteries. What I have also noticed is that if I drive somewhere and I'm only gone for a couple of minutes, like a conevience store for example, the lights will flash when I unlock. If the truck sits for say 15 or 20 minutes (estimated guess), they will not flash. It does beep every single time like it should.

Edit....I'll look to see if it always flashed when I lock or if that is intermittent as well.

I think it is going to have something to do with your combination meter assembly or ECU glitch..
I can't find a definite connection between the door lock/unlock and the turn signals except for the combination meter..

On my 2014 the parking/plate lights and turn signals all flash when locking and unlocking the doors.
Although I have an aftermarket remote start/alarm that may have something to do with it.

I just noticed my 2024 tundra is not flashing lights or beeping when I lock the truck- it beeps & flashes lights when I unlock, another surprise from Toyota, clearly not able to keep up the QC on there vehicles.

Has there been any update or fix on this issue?? My truck is a 2021 Tundra SR5 and is currently doing this also literally the exact same thing you are describing.. I can go into a store quick and unlock the truck and lights flash/ tone beeps/ doors unlock as usual... but when the truck has sat for a little bit about the same time frame about 10-20mins+ the lights do not flash (until the third unlock button press, then they flash)/ tone beeps/ doors unlock (tone and doors unlock on first unlock button press).. Super weird and just started for me about 2 months ago.. I have tried new remote battery also. I do have aftermarket headlight/ tail light and third brake like but this issue was happening with all the oem lighting equipment. I do have an aftermarket head unit so I was thinking that might be the culprit but if you're all stock then I'm not sure what it could be either...

I have all of the same upgrades as well and still no idea what is causing it.

Damn, alright that’s a bummer to hear. I’m almost convinced it might be the programmer or device that make the after market radio “talk” to your factory settings and maybe it’s glitched out or something like that. I may pull it apart and reset that and try a hard reset of everything and pull the battery connections for a while and see if there’s any change there.
