I did this..... And no change on the gauge. Anyone got any other ideas aside from it being the wire. Whish I don't even know how to check to see if it's contacting with the dash gauges.

Does the gauge budge at all when it revs? If not, i'd guess its disconnected.

I had a couple extra 1st gen xb toyota radios (and 2nd gen xB radios do fit the 1st gen xB). I know i mocked it up to my tundra, but i can’t remember if the connectors were the same or not. That was last summer, so i have completely forgotten what i didn’t end up installing it. I think the oem metal mounting brackets can be swapped between my xB and tundra. One of these times i’ll have to check again and see if the connectors line up or not.

Put a wire across the wiring harness connector for the sensor and see if it spikes the gauge in the cab.

Nope it sure doesn't. And where would it be disconnected at? I went looking for a fuse but couldn't find one. So I just don't know.

Also had to stop by @01GGTundraSR5 a house and have him help me with that forward bank 1 02 sensor clip. My arthritis in my thumbs wasn't happy with me trying to undo that clip connector. It codes cleared and she's running fine now. Gotta take it for a spin to see if it pops again tho. Had to fly my ass home and jump in the toilet.

BTW @455h0le_dachshund that new toilet is really nice I put in the night you were here.

Have you pulled the dash out? Someone says its easy.

and there are tiny flathead screwdrivers to use to pup those clips for connectors.

they're interesting as hell, each leg has its own neurons, and they just bounce, the body times those bounces to make em move. When i get a big batch i'll throw on some techno, and flash the patio light with em.

    https://youtu.be/P3dtfP62LO0?si=60zrznBxqKPQaNu7

gonna wait until i have a big batch to video to uhn tiss ~BHG.

Bad example of the difference, but i was taught DLL are a true spider and have a seperate thorax or whatever, and the harvestman is more related to scorpions & pill (doodle) bugs. I see normal people cant be bothered to tell the difference, and just call everything with long legs DLL. Even mosquito hawks.

I also talked to Longo Toyota today about getting a new rack & pinion vs reman and they said the part number for the new rack is being discontinued. Also mentioned there 200+ on backorder atm.

OEM reman will be Denso. I think Toyota has an agreement with Denso where they are guaranteed X quantity ahead of public sale via normal retail outlets. When you see Denso parts start dropping out of retail availability, Toyota is getting what the retail market ain’t, and it’s a sign the part is about to be discontinued (or so it seems)

Negative. JTEKT makes the reman steering racks according to another number and I think he was right. They are made in Vonore, TN. I've been trying to bring them on as a customer for months.

You talked me into it! Theres about a mile of brake line back there, so I'm just going to reroute/cut/flare the existing line to the new proportioning valve location.
