I don't mind, but don't understand. Or is it your new Tacoma?

Like what? Did he post something I haven't noticed before he was kicked out? What he was posting in the past few months is nothing their legal department can prosecute for. I've done worse things to another brand, but thankfully I'm in America where reverse engineering is perfectly legal.

You guys are hilarious. There is no conspiracy here. This is actually the second time Ryan got himself banned. And he owned up to it. Pretty sure this one’s gonna stick.

    It happens.

I got blocked by Autoblog and I have no reason why. My only guess is I used the word tranny on their car site and their PC word police branded me a hate monger for life

The word Trannie is OK 11 months out of the year. Not in June.

I sold my Tacoma for $1000 over what I paid the dealer (38,500 vs 37,500) and it only had 8k miles. So I took that $ and put it down on the Tundra. Now I owe I think 27k. A good deal, but -- not if the motor is going to pop.

Has anyone actually seen a new Tundra on a rollback or tow truck? Or any Toyota that hasn't been wrecked? I see Land Rovers on them all the time...there was a Discovery dead on the side of the road flashers on just a turn from the light to pull into the dealer yesterday...I see their loaner cars all the time...my neighbor tried and within 30 days was in a loaner...went back to Acura after that. Don't fall for the sexy Defender look unless you like getting to know the service team on a first name basis lol...

Other than reliability I don't understand Taco fever. So little power, hunting transmission and uncomfortable seating position. To me, just nothing pleasant about the driving experience. Hopefully, the new gen has the same reliability and drives better.
I just did an 800+ mile day in the Tundra. I wouldn't even attempt it in a Tacoma.

That was the main problem I had with the Tacoma. The truck kept getting bigger and heavier and the engine just couldn't keep up. I need something bigger with more power, which the Tundra does (and more carrying capacity IIRC). Now I am waiting to see what Toyota says about my Tundra. I was hoping this would be the last vehicle I buy but that may not be the case. And if the engine does blow, I'm going to be livid....

Just because this guy who I find is pretty straight forward, identified a number of parts that have changed recently doesn't mean that those are the parts that are failing triggering this recall.

Plus, how do we know the new parts aren't going to fail?

that seating position is no joke. I would seriously consider but for that and the tiny gas tank.

Hard to tell. I see rollbacks all the time but many are dealers acquiring or moving inventory

Only Tundra I saw since buying my 22 hood up with its family on the side of road praying was a late gen 2.5 TRD Pro locally in the spring

I hear old Huffys are reliable. If you can find a good condition old one made in the USA. If not you're gonna have to toughen up your bare feet because most shoes are junk too.

Our 1950 International L-110 has been reliable, still on it's original SD-220 but then it's only 74 years old.

    Lots of stuff!
We did a 3,000 kms route last week through the Rockies with my buddies 23 Taco. No comparison to the Gen 3 Tundra! But it has older proven tech. So not as powerful or comfortable but it was really good on fuel and didn't spin a bearing so those are positives :)

I would expect the new 4cyl Taco engine, with more forward gears, will be a better experience but time will tell if it gets a good review on the engine life.

The way the world flips out tech for newer tech, I can see why the V6TT has a short (maybe) life span, Sort of like an iPhone after 2 years, time to get a new one as the screen is cracked and the battery is dead on the current one. You can make more money by selling more units, So give us the bare minimum life on our trucks so we get a new one every 2 years. That way most of us can stay under the average ~25,000 miles before it goes kaput :)
