Seems like a good time to grab a 1/4 inch impact instead of a drill :boink:

Has the frame been replaced before or did it not qualify for the frame recall?

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
    White/Rust qualify?
I also have two different white paints going on which is a pretty sweet gift from the PO.

Nooooooo, like I told @Darkness, different shades of black don't count. Neither does rust.

Oh man, that's not even remotely bad. Not even slightly bad. I see no delamination at all. Sandblast, treat, seal may be overkill. I'd honestly just Naval Jelly it, maybe cold galvanize after, or self-etch prime and topcoat with satin rustoleum.

No longer qualify unfortunately, believe it had to be done within 12 year of the truck being manufactured.

Oh I definitely see some trucks in worse shape.. I’ve got parts on the way so I’m fully committed with it all prepped, I do intend to use the truck with a camper in the bed so any extra added reinforcement to that area makes me feel good hahaha.

This is after I took a needlescaler to it, bad delamination in between frame and stiffener on both sides. Punched a hole through the drivers side though. IMG_9256.jpg

I had mine done in 21. 00-02 is still covered as long as you have rust in the right areas. If the truck wasn't registered in a certain cluster of states (I forget which) it won't qualify either. May be worth a call to your local dealer.

I talked to my gym friend this morning. No way is he ever running again. I think he’s about 68 years old? His joints are completely worn out. he currently has metal hardware in his back, and he’s going in for more surgery in late july to get the metal adjusted. I’ll have to ask him about bench press PR again. He was actually 6’ 3” 160lbs. Whatever his PR was, it was kinda unreal for his body type. I 100% believe his PR times because he rattled them off down to the exact second.

I talked to him about his running PR’s. his 5k was about 15:50, 10k was about 32 minutes and change, and his marathon was 2.34 and change. Even this many years later he’s still super frustrated that he never broke 2.30!...which i can totally identify with. I’m probably the quickest person who had never run a sub 3 hour marathon. All my peers that i would train and race any other distance (1 mile to 13.1) i would be right next to them or ahead. But for a marathon, i’d be crossing the line at a pedestrian 3.01, 3.03, 3.15, ect, while my friends would be 2.40’s and low 2.50’s.

My goal was to have a 2.56 for my debut, but that never even came close to manifesting. I always had plenty of energy, never bonked, but i would get cramps in my quads at about mile 18 to 20. Then from the quads, i would then get cramps in my hamstrings. It was always absolutely demoralizing each and every time. I finally gave up on marathons after 5 tries.

Towards the end of my days of trying to run competitively, i was talking to one of my friends during a run. I asked him, “what are we supposed to do when we can run fast or even run anymore?” He just kind of shrugged his shoulders and said, “i guess for to the gym?” I replied, “you think?” And he confirmed with a “yeah”. So now i’m at the gym doing HITT workouts about 10-12 hours a week.

Cleaning out the garage today. Son still hasn’t wired the Stang up for his amp and subs. Three the second one in the truck today to keep it from getting messed up you know. Still have authentic battle damage from the accident. Rolling @bmf4069 style now with 2 subs pounding the desert in search of cocaine and hookers. Or whatever he does with his, to each his own.

Hah, yeah, tell him your fat internet friend ran 2:31 and he is my PR bitch :)

Only 16:07 5k though, that 15:50 is nice. He had more talent than I do. And lighter too. My 71:08 at the afc half is my best race performance, on the rivet the entire way, the day after my fiancé returned the ring as an official end to our engagement.

My buddy had calf cramps the first half dozen. He banged out some 2:50’s after that. It can be done. But I bet it’s super annoying.

I’m fired up to lift now. Can’t wait for the bar to show up. I think tomorrow. I’ve got some 45’s now and another pair of 10’s and two sets of 15’s on the way.

I feel like my 10" kicker is overkill most the time in my AC for the music I listen to. I keep it at like -4dB. But I also listen to punk rock and metal mostly. Some classic rock and classic country and very little hip-hop.
I think I need to upgrade my tweeters. All the other speakers are upgraded and running off a 5 channel amp.

Classic rock f@cking rocks with 2-12’s. You can feel the kick drums and bass lines. Hip hop is deafening. Country sounds pretty good too.

I've been thinking of an under seat 8 or 10 inch sub. Nothing crazy 300 to 400
