My motor tests fine on the transfer case..it’s not getting electrical power. I just started the truck and the 4HI is flashing and cruise won’t work.
I was not trying to engage 4x4 and there are no codes…..

Not sure if you checked but I had a similar issue with the Sequoia 08'
Ended up being a solenoid in the trans. Pulled the pan and changed it out. Works fine since. Been 2 years.

This is a super old post but I’m hoping someone found out the issue. I just bought a 2017 Toyota sequoia 2 weeks ago. Noticed the horn doesn’t work, which we knew that when we bought it. The cruise control doesn’t work, the wipers work but the wiper sprayer doesn’t work. Today I heard something funny when turning then noticed the 4HI light on the dash is on and I can’t turn it off. Sounds like the same issue that some of you had. Are they all connected? Thanks for your help.

The steering controls sound like the clock spring is bad.

I agree. The clock spring or as it's also known as, the ribbon cable could be bad.

Do you know if and rack and pinion, or tie rod work was done?

Quite often workers are not aware that the steering wheel can only be turned left or right roughly 2.5 revolutions. If turned too far, the clock spring is stressed and breaks. Loss of horn, C control or various steering wheel stereo controls is common.

I do not know if or when those things could have been worked on. In your opinion would this have anything to do with the 4H coming on while driving when not being manually put on?
