LMAO! I missed out on several good comments here. I provided a perfectly logical explanation as to why one might trade in but he wasn’t hearing it. Probably has bad credit or something. Oh well… how the rest of us lovin our twin turbo hybrid pros eh!!?

For shits and grins, I went over to Tundra Talk. The Canadian based outfit that owns it owns Club Frontier among many others. Over a hundred. Full of ads. A Toyota sponsored thread too. Guess what, very little to no mention of the recall. Literally. A recent poster asked why there was no mention of this. Two days ago! Gee, I wonder why. The recall is persona non grata

Most people talkin smack about these new trucks haven’t had a chance to enjoy one. Can’t afford one, or just like talking crap about stuff they don’t have for more reasons than what was said already.
And then there are some who love their previous gen which is cool.. and they just aren’t in a position or need to upgrade.

I should go over to an AT4 forum and talk crap about those even though I have no interest in one and not even shopping for one lol:fistbump:

umm… I’ve owned multiple raptors, older tundras, a 2024 Tundra limited offroad fully loaded, and I sold the tundra faster than any vehicle I’ve owned before. You’re just trying to justify owning a recall lemon.

Why the turnaround so quickly? You just got that solar octane in March. Or am I reading into this too much and you now have 2 tundras?

Not to slam another forum, but I was on TT for a few years.
I didn't care for the direction of that forum and found this place.
    Thank God because I found @dirtydeeds here...

There's some decent TT posts from 10+ years ago that I've read for various things, but the current situation is pretty dead. I have an FJ cruiser and that main forum is pretty dead too (but good old posts). I have a 4Runner and that forum is very active, but compared to Tundras.com the mods/etc. are so tame, just lots of 2" lift/"cool" shots in a driveway/etc. kind of stuff. I've been thinking of supercharging the 4Runner and FJ and there are very few posts on that topic for example. It's amazing there is a strong multi gen community here, its alot of fun (expensive on the wallet though).

i had a new 18 trd off-road runner. I did lift the wheels tires.. and supercharger. It was cool and people drooled over it. But for the money it costs, it’s not really worth it I think. Maybe cuz I have had lots of other vehicles that were boosted or charged… but find one somewhere and drive it before you do it. My 22 trd pro would spank a charged runner any day.

    I did the same.

I even went back to a tundra in 2022, after 4 months I said nope and ditched it. broke even on the trade, but am very pleased with the 2022 Silverado LT I am in now.

I had a 2019 tundra sr5. I traded at the height of covid, spur of the moment for a 2021 Silverado LTZ.

I really like those AT4s, thinking that might be my next one, not sure.

So far the chevy has been a great vehicle, no lifter issues, the 10 speed transmission is great, the 5.3 runs great, fuel, milage on the open highway is 21, best being 24.

I think GM nailed the interiors that the digital dash is great, the info screen is well placed and laid out. For a LT trim theres a lot of options, and the remote start works great. Seat trim is still intact as well LOL.

Over all its been a great going on 2 year experience.

Its your money and your happiness, do whats right for you.

Or...you used a recall to flip yet another truck (with no sign of engine problems at all) which has been your M.O. over the past few years at least.

Both of my Suburban 1500s stranded my wife on the side of the road twice each. We finally got the message and got her into a Lexus instead.

I tow more almost brand new gm trucks and Tahoe/yukon/burban Escalades than anything else. The more options those trucks have the problems.

I will agree those new interiors are very nice! There’s no denying that. But I have towed way too many to even consider buying one. Toyota Lexus or Honda from here on out. Except my bmw k1600:bikewheelie:

Yawn. How many miles and what year? Go drive a modern GMC and your mind will be blown. 3rd gen tundras are an absolute joke considering their price. Maybe if they were 50k tops it would be acceptable.

Interesting thread, and good on the OP to keep checking in with his vehicle changes.

Me? I'm still trucking on with my 2017 DC TRD PRO in Cement............. 96K trouble free miles. Love this truck more and more. Even got to do some 'truck stuff' with it last week.
